Parents can relax by the pool while the kids splash around or head inside to prepare meals or snacks - the outdoor living patio is connected to the living room and kitchen with large windows, so you can easily keep an eye on the rest of the family living in this modern, open-plan space. The views from the villa show off its enviable location, set in a 4000 sqm plot within a nature reserve, surrounded by greenery and olive, almond and cork trees. For family days out, visit the nearby Loulé food market for locally-sourced goodies (15 minutes’ drive), or head to the sandy and safe Algarve beaches along the coast.

Why Kids Love it

This stunning villa is ideally spacious for children, perhaps best suited to older kids and teens. It’s close to the world-famous Algarve beaches (kids will love the outdoor shower after days spent playing in the sand) and there are pretty towns with family-friendly restaurants to explore nearby. In the summer months, visit the nearby water parks on the coast or head to Fonte Benemola, where you can walk over stepping stones and little bridges past waterfalls and picnic spots on a walk through a nature reserve.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights, with bookings running from Saturday - Saturday. In the low season (1st November to 1st March), weekly stays can start on any day of the week. Cleaning, linen and towel change (bath and beach towels) charged at €80 per week. Cleaning is charged at €150 per week. Check in: from 4pm. Check out: 11am. Safety notes: there is easy access to the outdoor spaces from every bedroom so young children will need additional supervision. The pool is not gated. The property is for a maximum of 8 guests. The house has WiFi throughout and underfloor heating/cooling. Car rental is essential - there is parking for XX cars outside.

About the Location

The property is located 5 minutes’ drive from Santa Barbara de Nexe, in the Algarve, where there are plenty of supermarkets, grocery stores and restaurants. The Algarve is known for the Ria Formosa nature reserve, beaches, wine and ceramics, and is renowned for being great for families. The best sandy beaches in the Algarve are a 20-minute drive away (including Quinta do Lago and Barrinha Beach) and there are several world class golf courses just 10-15 minutes’ drive away. It’s also close to Mar Shopping Algarve, a huge shopping mall with a kids playground (10 minutes away). Faro airport is 20 minutes away.

Accommodation Details

This residence has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. The spectacular dining area (with seating for 8) is framed by a large picture window, leading to a kitchen with a large island and a living room with a built-in fireplace. All of the bedrooms have kingsize beds and ensuite bathrooms with showers. There is also 1 toddler bed and 1 crib available. The huge rooftop terrace offers stunning ocean views, while the large private infinity pool looks out over the picturesque countryside. The semi-covered terraces, patios and the dining courtyard also both offer areas to relax outside, with partial shady spots and beautiful vistas.

Designed by architect Pedro Domingos, this brand new villa is constructed in concrete, with the bathrooms and pool made from local white marble to create a sleek, minimalist look. The hosts have chosen contemporary design furniture to complement the space, which is designed with 360° views so each side of the house provides a new, stunning view. We love the modern pivoting windows, allowing additional light and breeze to enter the rooms, the wishbone dining chairs and the texture of the exposed concrete materials, creating a cool industrial feel.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
