Mixed modern. The hosts here love to renovate and rejuvenate their home, and have put careful thought into all sorts of details. This 120 m2 apartment was built in 1947, with bright and modern spaces furnished with a mix of cozy stylish pieces. The kitchen has modern up-to-date appliances and there’s a great Sonos sound system that can be connected to speakers in the dining room and living room. We love the mid-century style living room furniture, the beautiful selection of modern art and the minimalist bathroom.

Reykjavík, Iceland
Meet the Vikings
Many Icelanders can trace their family history right back to the Vikings – so where better to get to know this part of ancient history? The capital of Iceland is the size of a small town anywhere else in the world, and has a patchwork of colored houses in the old town, an old harbor which runs whale watching trips and a plethora of design stores, fashion boutiques and cafés. Visit museums and art galleries, swim in the Blue Lagoon or tour the countryside nearby, marvelling at volcanic peaks, glaciers, towering waterfalls and shaggy little ponies.
