Sag Harbor, The Hamptons
Sailboats, shopping and the sea
It’s hard to believe this quaintly charming village was once an international port, but Sag Harbor’s whaling history put it firmly on the map as a commercial center. These days, you can get a taste of what life was like at the Whaling Museum, or walk the historic lanes around Main Street dotted with galleries, independent boutiques and 18th century captains’ homes, before strolling past the sailboats in the harbor itself.
