There is a long driveway next to the house that guests are welcome to park in, with space for 4 cars. Accommodation Details

The house has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, all set on 1 floor, as well as a separate 1-bedroom casita. Upon entering the main house, there is an office to the right with a desk, chair, and pull-down double futon. The spacious living area connects to the office and kitchen in a welcoming open-plan layout. The kitchen window looks out onto a beautifully decorated and designed deck with a firepit, table and chairs below, and a lawn for playing corn hole or other activities. You can even see the bay after the morning fog clears. There are 2 bedrooms: a smaller queensize bedroom and a larger kingsize bedroom with a dresser, down the hall from the kitchen. Both have large closets for storing luggage and other items. Both bedrooms share a bathroom (with a walk-in shower, no bathtub). The casita is directly accessible via the main driveway, or the gate from the backyard. There's an open living and kitchen area, equipped with brand new amenities and a smart TV. The full bathroom and bedroom are private and accessed through separate doorways. The bedroom contains a double bed and ample closet space. The bathroom has a shower-over-bathtub.

Style Notes

Beach bungalow. This breezy, easy residence has a subtle coastal influence, which creates a relaxed and laid-back environment. Neutral and subtle tones of white, blue and sand look calm and restful, while the patterned textiles and warm wooden floors make the space feel cozy and welcoming. We love the geometric kitchen floor tiles, the natural wood window shutters and that spectacular garden deck.

San Diego and Surrounds, California

Big hitters and small pleasures

You might know San Diego for its stellar attractions: SeaWorld, Legoland and San Diego Zoo, to name but three. But there's more to the city than that. The small pleasures of digging for sand crabs on the beach - all 70 miles of it - picnicking in the park and enjoying a local craft beer make it a fun place to visit too. We love the water parks, surf towns with a 1960s vibe, complete with diners and vintage cars, and, of course, Mission Beach. With year-round sun and enough room on the beach for whatever you want to do, from building sandcastles to surfing giant waves, there's every reason to make San Diego your next family vacation stop.
