Decor is traditional country cottage style with modern comfort at its heart and details chosen by the owner very carefully.

What a view! We had an amazing stay, it's a great location to visit Florence, Pisa, Siena, Vinci and other beautiful towns. The pool is great and the surroundings provide a relaxing base to venture out from. San Miniato is a gem with some great places to eat and its only a 15 minute drive from the house. Thanks for an amazing holiday.

We loved staying here. The pool is fantastic with beautiful long distance views across vineyard-covered hills. We could wander around the gardens filled with vines, olive trees and fruit trees. We found it was easy to visit Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, Volterra, Lucca and loads more within a 1hr drive. Bologna is less than 2 hours away too. All trips were followed with a few hours in the pool and dinner in the garden watching the sunset. The bio-organic wine from the vineyard shop where the villa is located is very good too!

We had a wonderful stay at the San Miniato Residence! Maria, the host, was very welcoming and we were spoiled by Alice's cooking. We also enjoyed a wine tasting lunch and tour. Pictures do not capture the beauty of this place. We enjoyed watching the sunset by the pool every night. The location is also very central in Tuscany and you can get almost anywhere within an hour. Highly recommend and hope to return some day!

Beautiful hillside location, surrounded by vineyards. The pool looked inviting, but sadly we were there at the wrong time of year to enjoy it. While the kitchen was fairly well equipped, it was a bit difficult to prepare a full meal. The furnishings could use a little refresh (ie, slipcovers), but linens were nice. Highly recommend stopping at the vineyard on property!

We were pleasantly surprised with the locations, the house and all that went with it to include free roaming on the vineyard, pool that we had heated and the amazing Chef Alice! This was a gem! We had two kids one 7 month and one 4 years and they had a great time. The staff was very nice and gave us an amazing look into how they make wine. They were very accommodating for everyone and the setting is very peaceful. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend taking your family here.

It's hard to imagine the pictures not doing this place justice, but they don't. Simply the most serene setting you can imagine. We stayed in March, before the season and full blooms, and it was still magical. Right as we were pulling in through the 250 meter, cypress lined driveway, you knew the trip was going to be perfect, and it was. We could have just sat on the patio or the pool deck and admired the view all day long. It's a short 35 minute drive to Florence, or a ten minute drive into the charming hill town of San Miniato. The cottage is well appointed and comfortable, but honestly, you'll just want to be outside all of the time. Maria, the host (and winery owner), could not have been nicer. Stay here! We will be back.

San Miniato, Tuscany

White truffles and a duck race

Renowned for its white truffles, the small town of San Miniato is set between Pisa and Florence and is full of beautiful streets. A lovely place to visit at all times of year, it is particularly special in October when a special duck race takes over the street, led by local children, and at Easter, when children fly homemade kites in a special family festival.
