Parents can relax on the backyard lounges with a glass of wine and BBQ meal made on the top-of-the-line grill, while kids play with the toys, shoot some balls in the basketball hoop, jump on the trampoline and climb the fort and slide. It’s in a great location, with parks, beaches and world-class eateries in easy reach and lots to do on foot for a hassle-free vacation.

Why Kids Love it

The children's room has many toys and books (in both English and German) geared toward children up to 10 years of age. The 12-foot trampoline in the backyard is a crowd pleaser for all ages and there are many ride-on toys for younger active children. A crib or toddler bed, high chair, toddler chair (stokke tripp trapp), baby bouncer and baby toys can be provided on request. For family days out, it’s just 30 minutes to the Los Angeles Science Center and Natural History Museum, or a short drive to the amusements and aquarium at Santa Monica Pier.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 30 nights. If you book for 31 nights or more, you do not have to pay Hotel Tax. There is parking for 2 cars off the street but car rental is not essential. It’s approximately 30 minutes from LAX airport. There are several bus stops nearby that can take you to the beach, Westwood or Santa Monica 3rd St.

About the Location

Located in one of the most sought after neighborhoods of Santa Monica, Sunset Park, this location is ideal for families. Within 5 minutes you’ll find restaurants, shops, and markets on Ocean Park Blvd. Take a nice stroll down the tree-lined streets to Clover Park, Joslyn Park, or Marine Park. Virginia Park and its lovely Saturday farmer's market are also a short stroll away. It’s less than 1.5 miles from the beach, the shops, restaurants, a library and the famous Sunday farmers market on Santa Monica's Main Street. It’s also just a short drive or bike ride to Third St Promenade and the Santa Monica Pier, or the popular spots of Abbott Kinney and Rose Ave.

Accommodation Details

The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set over 1 floor. There’s an open plan living/dining room and kitchen with a breakfast bar for 4, leading to the outdoor deck. The primary bedroom has a kingsize bed with sliding doors leading to the backyard for a quiet retreat from the kids. The children’s bedroom has a set of bunk beds; the other bedroom has a queeensize bed. The family bathroom has a shower-over-bathtub and the second bathroom has a walk-in shower. Soak up the sun in the beautiful, lush backyard and spend nights by the fire pit with a movie on the outdoor projector.

Style Notes

Sunny and stylish. Bright and light, the house is filled with windows allowing light to flood in, and furnished with many mid-century modern pieces as well as artwork and furniture that the hosts acquired during their time living in Austria. The kitchen has all-new stainless steel appliances and the 10ft breakfast bar is the perfect social gathering place while you cook. We love the cool and contemporary shower room, the elegant all-white kitchen and the brick fireplace.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
