Perks for the Parents
A fun, kid-friendly home close to the Askew Village neighborhood in west London, with plenty of children’s toys and books to enjoy. It sleeps 6. Parents will love the open plan design of this home: cook or prepare in the kitchen while kids play in the spacious living areas or read up at the breakfast bar. You can even see into the garden from the kitchen area, if kids are old enough to play outside alone. You’ll be well placed to explore the popular districts of West London, with Chiswick, Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith all within easy reach.
Why Kids Love it
The children's rooms are mini treasure troves of toys, books and colorful accents. Speaking of toys, there’s also a well-stocked playroom behind the kitchen. When they need to run off some steam, it’s right opposite Wendell Park and playground or a short drive from Acton Park, where there are sports courts, a climbing wall and a skate park.
Things to Know
No pets, parties or smoking. The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests will receive a rental agreement prior to their stay which you are required to sign and submit. A couple of cute, hypoallergenic kittens live here and will be there during your stay. Just let the hosts know if you'd like to feed them or would prefer for someone else to handle this. The top-floor bedroom features a trundle bed that opens out into a level double bed to sleep 2 guests. The lawn is Astro-turf so can be used all year round. The shed will be locked.
About the Location
The house is located 10 minutes’ walk from leafy Ravenscourt Park, and just 5 minutes’ walk from the popular Askew Village neighborhood of Shepherds Bush, where you’ll find plenty of shops, cafes and eateries. It’s a short drive to Westfield White City, with nearby subway links from Stamford Brook (10 minutes’ walk) and plenty of bus routes into central London. Heathrow airport is less than 45 minutes by car or train.
Accommodation Details
The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set over 3 floors. The main ground floor is a large open plan space with living, dining and kitchen areas, as well as bi-fold doors leading out to the garden. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms (1 kingsize bedroom and 2 single rooms, ideal for kids) as well as a bathroom with a bathtub. On the top floor is a double bedroom with a Juliet balcony, plus a bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Style Notes
Pretty in pink. The delightful hue of the living room is the stand-out feature here - just the start of the host’s playful and contemporary choices. Traditional period features such as the log-burning fire and grandfather clock keep things warm and welcoming, while thoughtful design touches, sleek interiors and an immaculate patio garden bring the sophistication. We love the elegant curved banister, the colorful patterned textiles and the cleverly placed skylights in the kitchen.
