Spend a family holiday enjoying panoramic views of the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside at The Frantoio Residence. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees, this property sleeps 7 and is a two-floor apartment among the 10 houses and apartments situated within the private villa grounds. This quiet, picturesque location and design elements evoke the feel of local Tuscan homes, with all the attractions of the lovely medieval walled city of Siena just minutes away. We love the arched doorways, burnt sienna-hued tile floors, and the elaborate wrought iron canopy beds. Stock up on fresh local produce and artisan cheeses for a dinner in the fresh country air, or sunbathe beside the large pool while watching over the kiddos making waves.

Siena, Tuscany

Crazy horses and cobbled squares

Siena’s ravishing medieval architecture is usually lost on children. Pique their interest with an adventure up the bell tower, a gallop through the narrow streets and a gelato at half time. Jazz drifts through the air from the local jazz school and twice a year, ten men race around the square bareback on horses in a wild race called the Palio.
