This family home in Snowmass Village is under 15 minutes' drive from four of the world’s best skiing areas, and includes a garden ideal for sledding and a hot tub. Great for families, the kitchen comes fully equipped with everyone you need to cook at home. The separate basement with a bedroom and kitchenette is a great space for a nanny or grandparents to stay.

Why Kids Love it

Not only is the house equipped with everyone you need for your little ones, but it also provides incredible access to nature. The hosts can provide anything you need - please reach out prior to your visit with any requests. A kid-friendly bedroom is set up with a twin bed and trundle and also has a plastic sled. Kids will love walking out the front door to go on hikes, or going sledding in the backyard.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 days. The home sits on a half acre, and there is no fence around the property. Stairs are not gated inside and there are also several sets of outdoor stairs leading to the yard. There are some steps inside the house and a small drop down to the children's bedroom. Those with toddlers or crawling babies will need to give them extra supervision. While there is a driveway for parking, there is no covered garage. While there is a great hiking trail within walking distance, a car is recommended to see all that the mountains have to offer.

About the Location

The residence is a few minutes by car from family-friendly Snowmass Village. There is a complimentary dial-a-ride program that will take you anywhere you need to go within town. Walk up the hill from the home to some amazing hiking and mountain biking trails that are fun for the whole family. In the winter, you are less than 15 minutes away from 4 of the best ski resorts in the world: Aspen Highlands, Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, and Snowmass Village. The closest airport is Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, approximately 15 minutes’ drive away.

Style Notes

Alpine Modern. This newly remodeled single-family home retains lots of ski-cabin charm, blending the rustic charm of a ski cabin with contemporary furnishings to make you feel at home. A floor-to-ceiling fireplace is the centerpiece of the main living area, acting as a divider between the contemporary kitchen and cozy living room. We love the soaring wooden roof in the lounge and bedrooms, the mountain views and the sculptural staircase.

I moved to Colorado ten years ago and haven't looked back. My husband and I recently started a family here, and we love showing our daughter all that our great state has to offer. We enjoy skiing, hiking, and traveling.
