Perks for the Parents

This spacious home has an eat-in kitchen with seating for 8 people. The master bathroom has a soaking tub and walk in shower. The third floor suite is ideal for a nanny or au pair. There is an additional and independent 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath guest house ideal for overflow guests, in-laws or staff. The family room is large and welcoming. There are a total of 5 flatscreen TV's. Large picnic table lies next to the bbq.

Why Kids Love it

The kids bedroom has twin beds and specially sized closets. There are plenty of toys (indoor and out) to play with. The house is a short stroll to the best playground in Southampton, and a safe bike ride to the beach. Next to the 20x40 heated saltwater pool is a separate play area for children and an outdoor sitting area for adults. There is an outdoor shower with hot water so that the return from the beach is painless.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 weeks. Parking for up to 6 cars. There is a gated backyard kids play area with play house, slide and sandbox. Bikes are available for those who love exploring the town and riding to the beaches. The residence has an office for those who need a separate space to work whilst on vacation. There is a child's gate to protect the pool area. There are front gates which makes it possible for young children to play in the front yard. Note limited provision for babies.

About the Location

Ideally located in the center of Southampton Village, the property offers walking/biking proximity to the town, playground, cinema and Southampton's pristine beaches. Southampton is the oldest established town in New York State, with a charming Main Street shopping area that includes a movie theater that screens the latest releases, a CVS, Citarella's, Ralph Lauren, Pottery Barn and a Starbucks. Its pristine white sandy beaches have rated the best in the USA.

Accommodation Details

This spacious home has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with an office, large dining room, eat-in kitchen and inviting sunroom. The second floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, including twin beds in the children’s room, and there is a guest/au pair suite on the third floor. There is a separate 1000 sq. ft. guest cottage with 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths, kitchen and living room.

Style Notes

The house has a European elegance to it, and dates to 1893. It has been meticulously restored. There is a seamless mixture of contemporary and traditional. This house is a full-time residence and therefore not furnished as a rental property. We love the saltwater pool, the beautiful, ever-changing and carefully looked after gardens and the vast kitchen, perfectly set up for family cooking and dining.

This chi-chi village is at the heart of the Hamptons and is considered one of its most prestigious communities. Oceanfront mansions, distinguished visitors and wide tree-lined avenues make it a very desirable place indeed. Pack a picnic and head to the beach - Southampton’s are some of the best in the States.
