You can even pre-order a welcome fondue dinner for your first night in. Spend your days on the slopes during winter and come summer, you can hop on to a hiking trail or cycle route. Finish your day with a dip in the shared pool or warm up in the luxurious hot tub - this is the perfect place to relax with the family.

Why Kids Love it

The layout works for small families and the condo is stocked with board games, books and toys. The lounge has a Samsung Frame 4k TV connected to premium cable and gigablast streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon Fire and YouTube - ideal for movies before bedtime. Kids will love splashing in the pool or trying out the hot tub in the winter (age and time restrictions may apply and those under 18 should be supervised). For kids who want to test their skills on the slopes, Sun Valley Resort offers group and private lessons at the ski school. The hosts also have a sled that guests can use during winter stays.

Minimum stay: 3 nights; 5-7 nights over certain holidays, please check with the hosts. All bookings will incur a 12% tax on nightly rates to be charged in addition to the stay. Stays over 8 days will incur a $100 mid stay clean, per week. Check in: 4pm, check out: 10am. The condo is part of a family of properties designed as micro hotels by the hosts, each with the same luxury amenities. Sister property The Baldy Bunkhouse is just a few miles away and can also be booked for larger groups who want to vacation in the same resort. The property is safe and secure with Smartlock access and complete privacy and use of the entire unit during your stay. Off-street parking is available in the condominium complex lot. The hosts request that you leave your shoes and boots by the front door to help keep your space clean and comfy. Guest passes are available at the neighboring Elkhorn Village and Harker Center tennis and pickle ball courts, pool, hot tub and golf course facilities with advance notice. The property comes with high-speed Gigabit WiFi, Anichini Italian sheets, European goose down duvets and pillows, black-out curtains, USB outlets by every bed, and their own brand of luxury mattresses.

About the Location

This residence is located in Sun Valley, Idaho. Public transportation is a 1/2 mile walk and is best used in summer time - the road down to the bus stop might be daunting in the winter snow. Most guests choose to have their own transportation so they can explore all the natural beauty and hikes that the area has to offer. The condo overlooks Elkhorn Village, which has a golf club and fishing lake, as well as access to the slopes, and has views of Dollar Mountain and Baldy. It's 2 miles to Sun Valley Resort (for ski facilities, ski school, bike hire, shops and restaurants) and 3 miles to the town of Ketchum, where there is a range of stores and amenities. The closest airport is Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey, ID; Twin Falls, ID airport is 2 hours south and is known as Magic Valley Regional Airport, and Boise, ID Gowen Field is a 3 hours drive.

Accommodation Details

The condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set on 1 floor. Completely remodeled in 2019, this property was designed thoughtfully with visiting guests in mind: it features a new open floor plan with a modern gas fireplace, high end designer furnishings, expansive chef's kitchen (with a Vitamix blender and Soma filtered water pitcher) and a wrap-around deck with spectacular views of Baldy, Dollar and Boulder Mountains. The main living area includes a kitchen, dining area, lounge and porch space, as well as a hidden utility cupboard with a washer/dryer. The primary bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has a queensize bed with a single bunk bed over the top. The hosts also have 1 travel crib and a high chair available. Both bathrooms feature a walk-in shower.

Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Ski mountains and fields of wild flowers

This lovely family spot has been a favorite for generations, thanks to its ski areas at Bald and Dollar Mountains, its miles of mountain trails and its wildflower-filled meadows. Kids adventure trails are great fun, family ski instructors know their stuff while in the summer, splash parks and swimming holes in Big Wood River equal family fun. For a true Sun Valley experience, hike up the Bald Mountain Trail and ride back down on the gondola.
