A picturesque family house in the pretty Square de Montsouris, surrounded by cobbled streets and quirky properties in a leafy part of the city. It sleeps 6 + 3. Parents will love the little sheltered patio garden, screened off from the street by an olive tree, with a small table and chairs - the perfect spot for your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. There’s also a separate study downstairs, should you need to work during your stay, plus bedrooms on each floor so that everyone has their own space.

Why Kids Love it

The flexible bedrooms here are perfect for families, with a choice of bunk rooms and a playful kids bedroom (bedroom 1) with a few toys and pictures for children. It’s also a leafy and quiet part of the city, with lots of green spaces and public squares. The landscaped Parc Montsouris is at the end of the street, where you’ll find a playground, a puppet theater and creperie.

Things to Know

No pets, parties or smoking.The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests will receive a rental agreement prior to their stay which you are required to sign and submit. This house has 3 floors with quite a few steps. The raised beds are a little delicate, so we'd say 2 children per bed is fine, but no more than 1 adult.

About the Location

The property is located in a picture-perfect corner of the 14th arrondissement, where tree-lined cobbled streets weave between quaint French villas. The Montsouris tram stop is 5 minutes’ walk, while the Porte d’Orléans metro line is just 10 minutes away on foot. This area is just south of the Luxembourg Gardens and the Latin Quarter (20 minutes away by bus) and you can access Notre Dame, Saint Germain and the city’s famous museums within half an hour. The airport is just half an hour away by train or car.

Accommodation Details

This residence has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set over 3 floors. Ground floor: there’s a study and TV room (located down a few steps), with views of the courtyard. First floor: the main living/dining area, with a dining table for 6 and an open plan kitchen with a breakfast bar and glass doors onto a little terrace. The first bedroom boasts a raised double bed over a single sofabed and a handy desk. The second bedroom has 2 sets of double bunk beds (sleeping 2 kids or 1 adult). This floor also has the family bathroom, with a bathtub and handheld shower. Second floor: the primary bedroom has a pull-out double bed, rooftop views and and ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and corner bathtub.

This pretty house is set back from the street with its own private little courtyard and contrastingly modern, light-filled interiors. White tones and a simple, minimalist aesthetic keep things fresh and contemporary, contrasting with the surrounding traditional cobble streets and classic shutter-fronted buildings. We love the first bedroom, with fresh interiors charmingly decorated with colorful postcards and trailing ivy, the glass block detail in the bathroom and the cozy curved furniture in the living room.
