Perks for the Parents

Overlooking the famous rooftops of Paris, this bright and playful Paris apartment between Montmartre, the Opera and the department stores, includes playful spaces for older children. Parents love the lovely plant-lined communal courtyard, easy transport to the city’s attractions and bright living spaces with room to spread out, relax and soak up time together.

Why Kids Love it

Two colorful bedrooms are designed for kids with high sleeper beds and toys and books suitable for ages 6-16. A mezzanine, accessible via a ladder, is an exciting hide out for older kids. There is a park for outside play 150m from the house. Plenty of DVDs of cartoons and children's movies are provided. Nearby walkable attractions include the Sacré-Coeur, 800m away.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 days. The apartment is on the fourth floor with an elevator. It is very quiet with windows on the courtyard. Parents will need to supervise children on the ladder leading to the mezzanine. The high sleeper beds are not suitable for children under 6 but there is a futon-style sofa bed that is. WiFi, TV and DVD player included. Car rental not recommended; parking and driving in Paris can be testing and public transport is reliable. The closest metro stations are Cadet (line 7) and Notre Dame de Lorette (line 12).

About the Location

The residence is in the 9th arrondissement. This is an ideal area between Montmartre, the Opera and the department stores with shops and several family-friendly restaurants close by. It is only a couple of subway lines or a direct bus from the main city attractions and monuments. It is 30-40 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport by car/taxi and a 10-minute walk from the Gare du Nord for Eurostar.

Accommodation Details

This family apartment consists of a master bedroom with queensize bed, and 2 children's bedrooms. One has a 2-seater mezzanine bed and sleeps 1-2, and the other has a high sleeper bed for 1, with a single futon-style sofa bed. The family bathroom includes a washer/dryer and bath tub. The living room is spacious and bright with TV, family piano and mezzanine nook. There is a fully equipped kitchen with table seating 5.

Style Notes

Warm and spacious. Overlooking the famous rooftops of Paris, this playful Paris apartment flaunts vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden beams and classic parquet floors with typical city charm. We love the mezzanine nook and ladder, new large sofa and simple decoration with colorful cushions, books on display and white walls.

I am a Parisian with 2 children (Max 13 years and Lou 8 years) and two more children on weekends My companion's two daughters are delighted. I love my apartment and I work from home as a therapist. It is a rare apartment in Paris by bright and quiet. We spend a great time with our family. I hope you too.

Thank you very much. Your place was perfect for us - we loved it.

The 9th arrondissement, Paris

Shopping and the opera

This right bank neighborhood is well known for its fabulous department stores and the Paris Opera. Montmartre is within strolling distance, rue des Martyrs, with its fantastic foodie shops, is close by and there are easy links to the other key parts of the city, making this a neighborhood that works for a long or short stay. Tip: don't just browse the Grands Magasins - head up to their rooftop terraces for a glittering view of the city.
