This exquisitely-restored villa, sleeping 6-8 plus a baby, is near Orvieto in one of the most beautiful parts of Umbria. Along with well-designed sociable interiors, there’s room to roam and views of rolling hills and pretty stone villages. Splash around in the pool as a family, sip wine under the trees as your kids play on the lavender and thyme-filled gardens or explore the nearby vineyards, olive grove and the lovely countryside. It’s a great villa to book with extended family and friends for a vacation to savour. There's a concierge service and you can also add on wine tastings and guided tours of the local area and cooking lessons in the villa with a local cook.

What we love

  • The whole villa is spacious with lots of communal areas to sit and relax as a family and with friends
  • It’s all beautifully restored with gorgeous beams and high ceilings, and terracotta floor tiles
  • The large open plan kitchen opens on to a lounge for maximum sociability
  • There’s a soothing palette of colors and stunning views of the surrounding hills
  • The grounds are perfect for playing, and there are a number of shady sitting areas for parents to sit, glass of wine in hand
  • It’s a great sized infinity pool - big enough for laps, and with an area for little kids
  • The villa is on a hill with views of the Apennines on one side
  • There are 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedroom arranged across three floors
  • There's a concierge ready to help you plan a wonderful family stay, and a babysitter/nanny on request
  • Optional activities bookable through the owner include cookery classes from a local chef and trips to nearby child-friendly farms
  • The nearest hamlet is Collelungo, with a fabulous bakery, convenience store and coffee shop. It is about 10 minutes' drive

Campo Rinaldo was perfect for our family vacation. The property is secluded, and even better than the photos show - the view from the pool is idyllic. The staff were welcoming, and Sabrina cooked us two wonderful meals.

We had a wonderful stay at Campo Rinaldo! The location was incredible and the house was beautiful and very comfortable for a group of 6 adults and 2 babies. The grounds and pool area were incredible and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The house is very centrally located in Umbria for wine tasting and sight seeing. The house manager was extremely attentive and warm and made our stay very pleasant.

Todi, Umbria

Italy's most liveable city

This medieval hill town south of Perugia is a photogenic place of movie-set piazzas, crenellated buildings and views. Eat gelato and wander the cobbled alleys, visit vineyards and bribe the kids with Perugia’s Baci chocolates.
