Style Notes

Modern classic. This beautiful home was remodelled taking boutique hotels as its inspiration, with each room offering a slightly different look. The house was thoughtfully remodeled by a pair of architects who were careful to keep the character of the home while adding clean modern lines. Melding classic touches — ceiling moldings, hardwood flooring, painted shiplap, original leaded glass windows and fireplaces — with high ceilings, modern fixtures, contemporary art and furniture, the house is intelligently chic, comfortable, and timeless. We love the artwork, the thoughtfully-chosen linens and the luxurious touches.

Wallingford, Seattle

Mermaids and marching bands

One of Seattle’s foremost family-friendly areas, Wallingford, in North-Central Seattle, has an annual parade where you might see mermaids and marching bands down the main streets, and is a great location for a family trip. Swing by Woodland Park for summer concerts on Sunday afternoons, or visit its zoo; the area has plenty of parklands and playgrounds and is walkable with independent stores, bakeries and sushi joints lining its friendly streets.
