David's place is truly incredible. The location CANNOT be beat - the apartment is accessible to nearly everything in Midtown/Downtown, is in the atmospheric West Village, and overlooks the Hudson. And the apartment is absolutely gorgeous - spacious rooms decorated with lovely photos, a well-appointed kitchen, and 2 bathrooms (in Manhattan!). To top it all off, David and his family are a joy to interact with. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our family had such a great time staying at the West Residence. Elaine and David were wonderful hosts and provided a truly welcoming environment so that we could immediately relax and enjoy the apartment. Its beautiful modern aesthetic with state-of-the-art appliances and finishes made it a joy for both adults and kids. They were well set up to accommodate kids of all ages, and our five year old twins and seven year old had an amazing time riding scooters down the adjacent Hudson River Park (including outdoor waterparks) and around the West Village on the long summer days. The proximity to all that the West Village has to offer including the Whitney Museum, the High Line, grocery stores, and restaurants couldn't be more ideal. We are counting the days until we can return.

David and his family were the best hosts. We felt at home from the beginning. They are a kind and generous family. The apartment is beautiful, nicely decorated and has EVERYTHING you need. If you happen to be a cook, the kitchen is super well equipped and you will also find amazing cooking books! Apartment location is just perfect. West Village is a super convenient neighbourhood to spend your holiday and very well connected to other parts of Manhattan and NYC in general. Everything you need is right there: grocery stores, nice coffee places and restaurants, small shops, etc. If you are travelling with small kids, there's a park across the apartment and many others within 5 minutes walk. Don't miss the amazing Children's Museum of Art. We would definitely stay at the West Residence again!

West Village, Manhattan

Everybody's favourite New York City neighborhood

In the heart of Downtown, the West Village is everything you could look for in a family-friendly, well located neighborhood. Cosy, cool and cosmopolitan, the streets are treelined, the restaurants are hip and the main drag along Hudson Street has a good choice of kid-friendly attractions and shops. It's a great base for a family in the city, with easy transport links for getting around.
