This beautifully-designed guest house is located just outside Orlando, Florida and features stylish kids toys, a stunning lake view and family attractions in easy reach. It sleeps 6. This newly-built cottage is cool and contemporary, with a full kitchen and space to relax on the outdoor decks. After a busy day of family fun, grown-ups can sit back and take in the view, recharging for a vacation filled with beach trips and theme park visits.

Why Kids Love it

The property is ideal for kids aged 2-teenage. The upstairs kids room has cool bunk beds, lots of toys, books and a play desk - they can even cook in the play kitchen alongside the grown-ups. The lower level bedroom is more private and suited to older children or adults. There is a large backyard behind the house for games of tag and guests are welcome to take the canoe out for a paddle on the lake beyond it. No trip to Florida is complete without a visit to the family attractions of Disney, SeaWorld and Universal Studios (all within an hour’s drive) and for older kids there are several crystal clear springs and swimming holes within 30 minutes’ drive.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. The house is set over 2 floors with the living area, kitchen, and 2 bedrooms all upstairs and another bedroom downstairs, and there is a door at the top of the stairs which can be closed and locked. The residence is located in the grounds of a separate house owned by the host's parents - guests do not have access to the main house or its pool, and children should be supervised in the backyard as the pool is not gated. The house has its own separate entrance and parking spot and is set off from the main house for privacy. There is a lake beyond the backyard which is fenced for safety. This property has central A/C, a backyard, balcony, children utensils, kids booster step, dishwasher, high chair, washer/dryer on request, TV, WiFi and life jackets for the lake.

About the Location

This residence is located in the quiet residential Winter Springs neighborhood, 30 minutes’ drive from Orlando, Florida. Guests can walk around the quiet neighborhood and a rental car is highly recommended to enjoy the city and central Florida. The closest park and playground is 1.5 miles away, under 5 minutes by car, and there are numerous State Parks with Springs nearby for splashing around, hikes and wildlife. Orlando International Airport is 35 minutes’ drive - car hire is highly recommended. It’s under an hour’s drive to Florida’s family attractions including: Central Florida Zoo, Universal Studios, Disney and SeaWorld and 1 hour 15 minutes from the east coast beaches and the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. There are supermarkets, a mall, restaurants and a farmers market in nearby Oviedo (10 minutes’ drive).

Accommodation Details

This residence has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with 1 queensize bed and a kids room with 2 single bunk beds (with a ladder and a bed guard on the top bunk). The master bathroom has a walk in shower. The kitchen/living/dining area has a dining table for 4. There is also a fenced balcony upstairs overlooking the lake. Downstairs there is an additional bedroom/play room with a queen sofabed and crib and toys, a half bathroom and another outdoor deck with seating. Laundry is in a separate garage and access can be arranged on request.

Style Notes

Contemporary cottage. This house is bright, light and modern, with pops of color and quirky details, such as the whimsical artwork and the stylish Smeg fridge. The upstairs living space is nestled between tall trees, giving it a tree-house feel and the high ceilings, multi-aspect windows and striking white decor create a light, spacious environment. We love the warehouse-style sliding door in the hallway, the cute kids play table and the chic black accents throughout.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
