This was the perfect place for what was mostly a work trip. Lots of toys and art supplies to keep the kids happy, short walk to a tram/bus stop and a grocery store, and not a far walk from a fantastic playground. Loved having a laundry room as well. Check in was easy, and the hosts were responsive communicators. Would definitely stay again the next time we need to be in Zurich.

Our stay at Petra’s place was so enjoyable. It is a lovely apartment, superbly located for the city centre, the local mountain and public transport. We asked for breakfast on our first morning and it was stunning and plentiful. We would definitely return if going back to Zurich. Thank you!!

We loved our stay in Zurich. The hosts welcomed us, had a few items waiting in the fridge, and let us use their bikes and outdoor wood oven. They promptly answered our questions too. Our family of four (two boys aged 6 and 9) felt at home. The flat is a good base for exploring Zurich (the train into central Zurich was a short walk and easy to use) and for day trips by car. Lots of restaurants, grocery stores, a bake shop and butcher within walking distance (all outlined in a guide created by the host). We also took the train up the mountain (Uetliberg) and walked through the forest to Jurablick - a quaint restaurant with delicious cakes. On a cool day our boys loved putting their hands in the Kachelofen!

Zürich, Switzerland

Lakefront living and circus fun

For a captivating city with outdoor opportunities, historic towers and some really special cake shops, look no further. First stop: the lake. In summer you can swim in open air pools and the lake itself; in winter the scenery itself is worth the walk. Circus culture is very popular in Switzerland and the city’s circus schools are a fun way to try it out - Kinderzirkus is a popular choice. Kinder City, Zürich Zoo and Trampolino are further ways to entertain the kids, rain or shine.
