Amagansett, The Hamptons

Beaches, farmer’s markets and historical leanings

A little east of East Hampton, Amagansett is a charming hamlet with historical leanings, kid-friendly restaurants and fabulous beaches. Try the lobster rolls from the snack shack on Atlantic Beach, seek out peace and quiet at Napeague Beach, or head for family-favorite, Indian Wells Beach, which has food trucks and restrooms. Stock up for your beach barbecue at the farmer’s market just off Main Street and explore at your own pace with hire bikes along the country lanes.

Fantastic house and setting - we were so sad to leave on the last day! The house is spacious, well-stocked and welcoming with a clever layout that maximizes light and views in the living room and kitchen. We were 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 9-13) together for a mini-family reunion. Lots of space to spread out and play and great little spots for hanging out - inside, on the balconies, at night by the fire pit outside. We made daily walks to the private beach and also drove to a nearby bay/park where the kids could "fish" and splash in calmer waves. Noah the owner was terrific, super responsive.
