Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. Safety notes: the apartment is located on the 3rd and 4th floors, accessible via typical Amsterdam-style steep stairs. While part of the city’s charm, it’s something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with young or adventurous children. The roof terrace is fenced for safety, but of course, supervision is always advised. Please note that ball games are not permitted on the terrace. A parking garage is just a 2-minute walk away, and public transport to the airport is easily reachable on foot - Hogeweg tram and bus stop is a short walk away.

This apartment is located in the quiet, relaxed Amsterdam Oost area - a true hidden gem and one of the city’s most family-friendly areas. Known for its local charm and relaxed atmosphere, the area offers a perfect balance of green spaces and city life. Here, you’ll find family-friendly restaurants, beautiful parks, and even a vibrant market that rivals the Albert Cuyp Market, with fewer tourists and more of that authentic Amsterdam vibe. Getting to the city center is a breeze thanks to excellent public transport, and the Artis Zoo is walkable or a quick ride by bike. Another big plus: it’s much easier to get out of the city from here if you’re planning to explore more of The Netherlands.

Accommodation Details

The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, set on the 3rd and 4th floors of the building. On the upper floor, you’ll find a large private roof terrace, perfect for enjoying a family breakfast in the sun, as well as a generous 70m² open-plan living and dining area, beautifully designed for relaxing and spending quality time together. At the heart is the open kitchen, which naturally divides the space into a cozy dining and living zone. The kitchen is fully equipped and designed for those who love to cook — ideal for preparing anything from a quick breakfast to a family dinner. On the lower floor, you’ll find 3 bedrooms: a primary bedroom with a double bed and 2 more bedrooms each with a three-quarter single sized bed, ideal for kids. This floor also includes a modern bathroom with a bathtub, and a convenient walk-in closet.

Design Focus. The apartment is personally styled and thoughtfully decorated with a mix of art and iconic design pieces. From Cassina Mackintosh chairs to Bertoia seating, every piece of furniture has been carefully chosen. Most of the lighting fixtures are design classics, reflecting the host’s love for beautifully crafted interiors. We love the unique window seat with rope swing, the mid-century design of the dining table and the warming parquet wooden flooring.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Jump on a tram to easily discover the Plantage area, where you’ll find Artis, Amsterdam Zoo, buy groceries and clothes at the Dappermarkt, or supplement science class with a trip to science center NEMO - aimed at children, this iconic building also has an amazing rooftop bar/restaurant with amazing views of Amsterdam.
