Perks for the Parents

A large mountain villa with a private pool, luxurious yet authentic interiors and bunk beds for kids. It sleeps 18. This spacious property has plenty of room for 2 or 3 families, or a multi-generational group, to fit comfortably. Four of the bedrooms have private balconies and the outdoor terrace is a spectacular spot to host a large family barbecue on long summer nights. This is a truly secluded spot to enjoy the peace and quiet, with very little traffic noise and spectacular mountain scenery.

Why Kids Love it

Children of all ages will spend hours in the saltwater swimming pool (10 x 5m) while parents keep watch from the shady surrounding sun loungers. The outdoor kitchen and bar area is great for families, with a fridge for cold drinks and a dressing room for easy changing. The villa is nestled within the Sierras de Cazorla UNESCO nature reserve, so it’s perfect for adventurous families: there are several hiking and biking trails nearby, where kids can spot waterfalls and historical castle ruins along the way.

Things to Know

Check in: 6pm (flexible). There is a garage with space to park 4 vehicles - car rental is essential. The garden has a small pond and the swimming pool, so younger toddlers should be supervised outdoors. This property may not suitable for those with mobility issues, or pushchairs, due to its location up a steep hill, but guests will be met at the parking area and taken by buggy to the villa with their luggage. There is a beer tap in the pool bar which can be set up on request, for an additional charge of €85 paid prior to arrival. The pool is only open in the summer months - please ask when booking if you require usage in winter. Pets may be allowed on request. Please note there is no AC but the house stays cool in summer thanks to the traditional architecture of the building.

About the Location

The house is located near the charming mountain town of Cazorla, which brims with traditional local architecture, steep streets, charming grand houses, and historical monuments. The town is a 20-minute (steep) walk or a 5-minute drive. Every July, the town hosts the Blues Cazorla festival, so the town is packed full of Blues musicians and music lovers, enjoying the various stages and acts, most of which are free to attend. The surrounding nature reserve offers opportunities for rafting, mountain climbing, hiking or 4x4 tours in the hills. Malaga international airport is around 3 hours away by car.

Accommodation Details

The house has 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. On the ground floor, there’s a open plan kitchen area with breakfast bar, 10-seater dining table and garden access. There’s also a cozy living room and a quiet seating area with 2 sofas and a bathroom. Upstairs, all the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. There’s a bunk room for kids, 2 twin rooms and 6 double bedrooms, 4 of which have balconies. All the bathrooms have showers; there is no bathtub.

Style Notes

Rustic and rural. Spanish charm can be found throughout the house, which boasts wooden beams and rustic elements, framed by natural light. Crisps white walls and tiled flooring run through the property, giving an earthy feel. The kitchen combines a modern and rustic aesthetic with white tiles, stone counters and terracotta floors. We love the natural textures of the living area furnishings, the subtle mid-century styling in the dining room and the cozy built-in bunk beds.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 12 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 12 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 12 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
A non-refundable 30% deposit is required to make a booking (or full payment if booking within 12 weeks of arrival). If you have paid a deposit, the final balance is payable 12 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. Once this has been paid, it is non-refundable. In addition to the host’s policy which is listed here, all cancellations are subject to a Kid & Coe cancellation fee of 10% of the booking total.
Terms and conditions
Tourist Tax included in the rental price. Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay. €800 security deposit to be charged to before arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
