Perks for the Parents

Set on a historic coconut plantation steps from the sugar-white sand of Palm Beach, this colorful property features 14 casitas spread out over lush tropical gardens, with beach service and a special treasure box for kids. Casitas sleep 1-6 guests. Particularly appealing to parents is the lush, quiet and secluded garden with a small, shallow pool, ideal for children. All casitas have a fully equipped kitchen and are spread out, offering privacy and intimacy whilst being just steps from the beach. Daily housekeeping and concierge services add to your comfort. The smallest guests receive beach toys upon arrival; cribs, high chairs and rollaways are available upon request. Outdoors, a private patio offers plenty of space for family dinners, BBQ fun and lounging.

Why Kids Love it

Kids of all ages love Boardwalk; babies and toddlers are easily satisfied in our comfortable hammocks for a midday nap with mom or dad, while the cozy pool offers shaded water fun. Children under 10 get to pick their own day activity in our unique Aruba Treasure Box, a small box in each room that contains the best picks in family friendly sites, beaches and attractions. Teenagers will enjoy helping a hand at the BBQ on your private patio and discover the bustling bars and watersports on Palm Beach, right across the street. Learning how to kite or windsurf is a favorite, and as a guest of Boardwalk you will receive a discount at Vela Sports Aruba. For younger children, it is best to request a ground level casita and avoid stairs.

Style Notes

Colorful Caribbean. Boardwalk Small Hotel was named 'Best Hidden Gem Hotel’ by USA Today for its secluded and barely visible location, tucked on a coconut plantation between tall palm trees and lush gardens close to famous and popular Palm Beach. The hotel is known for its relaxing, truly Caribbean vibe where 'living like a local' is promoted everywhere you look - from Aruba's Aloe nursery in the garden to hammocks and BBQs to grill a fresh catch. All casitas are furnished and decorated in a tropical and colorful style where you will feel right at home. Local artists have been commissioned to create unique art works for each separate casita. We love the punchy combination of hot pink, yellow and turquoise, the shaded terraces with views right out to the palms and white sand beaches, and the thoughtful services that make a stay here with kids extra special.

Wildlife, watersports and beaches

Family-friendly Aruba is a paradise for kids: with white sand beaches and gloriously clear water to splash in, plus tropical fruits to taste, nature parks to visit and underwater submarine tours to take, there is plenty to keep little ones entertained. Older children may enjoy snorkelling and bodyboarding; wildlife visits include horseback riding along the beach, glass bottom boat tours and visits to an Ostrich Farm.
