A bohemian style beach cabana just a hop, skip and a jump from the ocean, with cafes and restaurants a short walk away and central Lisbon a 20-minute drive. It sleeps 6 + 2. Parents won’t need to find ways to entertain the kids with a whole beach on their doorstep for sandcastles, surfing and splash about fun. With a beachside base, early morning risers can enjoy walks with the beach to themselves, while later in the day, babies and younger ones can nap inside whilst parents relax or dine on the terrace with uninterrupted views of the sea. There’s a good selection of laid back restaurants and bars a short stroll along the beach, as well as a surf school for those keen to learn or hire a board.

Life’s a beach at this playful coastal cabana with all the fun of the sea and surf on its doorstep. With a giant sand pit for a backyard, shallow waters to splash in and a variety of watersports on offer kids of all ages will find something to keep them entertained. For warmer times of day, the cabin provides a cool place to chill with toys and books provided and a shady picnic area on the terrace for laid back meals with a sea view. For active kids there’s plenty more to explore in the local area from horse trekking, surfing and body boarding to a zipline and aerial adventure park in nearby Costa de Caparica. The hosts can provide a highchair, travel crib, baby pool and monitor on request.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 2 nights. The space can sleep 8 guests (with kids) or 6 adults. The residence is a renovated beach cabana, chic but simple, with plenty of quirky detail. It has WiFi, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher for convenience. There are additional sofabeds available, 2 single and 1 double, for accommodating additional guests. There is a staircase in the Cabana and no stairgates, and it’s worth bearing in mind that the beach is public so kids should always be supervised. There is paid parking available locally. Sorry, no pets.
About the Location
The cabana is located on pretty Praia da Saúde beach. The closest beachside restaurants and bars are just minutes’ walk away with more options in the town center around a 20-minute walk. The Fun Parque São João which has climbing courses for all ages including aerial adventures and ziplining is a 9-minute drive away, and there are various surf schools and watersports hubs at neighboring beaches along the local coast. The town of Costa da Caparica is 20-40 minutes' drive depending on traffic. The closest international airport is in Lisbon (around 30-60 minutes' drive).
Accommodation Details
The residence has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms set over 2 floors. The entrance is on the upper floor where there’s an open plan living area including a sofa (which can convert to a double sofabed), a coffee table, a dining table seating 6-8 and a well-equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. The first bedroom has a double bed and the second room has 2 single beds, one of which is on a mezzanine, like a split bunk bed. There is a full bathroom on each floor. Downstairs there is an open plan living/sleeping area, with a queensize bed and 2 single mattresses. Outside there is a veranda/terrace, partly shaded with an alfresco dining table seating 6 and a smaller table and chair set at the front.

Boho cabana. A beautifully renovated beach house with fresh coastal-inspired interiors filled with plenty of natural light and beach style. Whitewashed floors and walls combine with sleek plaster creating purpose-built nooks and hang out space which add both interest and character. There’s a hint of industrial chic, and plenty of artisan touches with custom made surfboard and wine storage, floating bookshelves and vintage/shoreline finds. Stone washed cotton linens and decorative pillows add comfort and texture, alongside hand crafted coffee tables, design led furnishings and plenty of ambient lighting. We love the views and the many windows and doors that flood in the sight and sounds of the ocean, the perfect soundtrack for a blissful night’s sleep.
