Your every whim is catered for here – all you have to do is relax.

Why Kids Love it

Kids of all ages receive an exceptionally warm welcome from the staff here and will find lots of fun things to do. The tennis court is perfect for older kids and comes equipped with lights, rackets, and balls. A tennis coach is available by request and the court can be used for basketball, also on request. For younger kids there is a swing, climbing rope and a manicured lawn that’s perfect for a soccer match, flying kites, bocce ball or just running around. Kids and teenagers alike will adore the pool and younger kids have their own shallow splashing pool. Yoga sessions and Balinese dance or music lessons can be arranged for kids. The large upper beach means that kids can play and build sandcastles without leaving the property.

About the Location

The villas are located right on the beach in Mendira village in the Candi Dasa area on the eastern coast of Bali, 1 hour’s drive from Ubud and 50 minutes from Sanur/DPS. You’ll be well away from the hustle and bustle of the beach resort here but if you want to explore, it’s just a few minutes’ drive into town where there are shops and restaurants. You’ll find yourself on the coast on the edge of a fresh water lagoon with a ‘wave breaker’ 100m out in the ocean. A recently completed highway connects the area to the capital. The nearest airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport (1 hr, 15 mins taxi ride).

Style Notes

Tropical Raja palace. Blending traditional building techniques with contemporary conveniences this villa collection exudes style and tranquillity. Set in stunning tropical gardens with a koi pond, palm tress and decorative flowers, this oceanfront accommodation has clever semi-open living spaces. There are many places to rest and relax with day beds and shady lounge chairs on the shady porch. Antique Javanese carvings adorn the walls and contrast with large windows to create a traditional/contemporary style. Textures abound, from the warm granite floors to the antique teak writing desks. Wooden walls and special roof structures allow the buildings to stay cool even on the hottest days. We love the semi-open spa with granite soaking tub and sauna attached; the large custom-made terrazzo bathtub and marble sinks in the luxurious bathrooms; and the flowers and green trees in the bathrooms that add to the tropical feel.

We are very interested in Balinese arts and culture. For more than 20 years we were coming to Bali to work, enjoy the weather and get inspired. Finally, by 2010 we settled in Bali and build the compound of 3 villas. Yet not retired to live in Bali most of the time, we are trying to spend as much time as possible here. We are enjoying meeting new people and eager to share our knowledge and contacts in arts and theatre. We are yoga enthusiasts, play a lot of recreational tennis, dive.

Paradise island

This tropical paradise isn’t just for backpackers and honeymooners: imagine what fun your kids could have playing on the beach, spotting colorful birds and jungle bugs in the Balinese jungle and riding elephants on safari. There’s always the beach - great for sandcastles and even better for surfing, if they’re old enough. Browse art and eat in local cafes in Ubud, the center of the island, and pick your way carefully around the floral offerings. Sybaritic treats come in the form of those famous spas, private yoga and meditation lessons and time well spent together.
