This spacious Bali villa with a pool has luxurious bedrooms and a team of 6 superb staff to help parents have a relaxing stay. Take a break while the wonderful cook prepares meals; book a personal driver to explore the island and enjoy a massage with a masseur who drops by daily. The property is well staffed and includes a nanny, Ketut, who has worked with the owners for 26 years. Often 1 of her 3 daughters comes to play dress up with children. The house includes room for all to play, large bedrooms and a lovely swimming pool overlooking rice fields. The closest beach is 10 minutes away.

Why Kids Love it

Nothing is too much trouble – and with plenty of activities and kind staff on hand to help make a vacation fun, kids will love a stay here. There is lots of space to play and explore and plenty of activities to arrange. They include: surf lessons, swimming lessons in the private pool, skateboarding, Balinese dancing, blessing ceremonies, yoga, temple tours and beach days. The Rainbow playgroup is 5 minutes away and the Canggu sports club 10 minutes away. Anything you need can be arranged – just ask the owners.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 days. Rates include staff but there are set extra fees for overtime such as babysitting and driving. Tips are extra: it is customary in Bali to leave a gratuity tip to staff upon departure. The pool is unfenced but a pool safety fence can easily be erected on request. There are stone steps outside in the garden – young children may need a little help. All necessities such as high chairs, cribs, car seats, etc can all be hired for a minimal fee from Bali Baby Hire – please ask the hosts for details. Extra nannies can be booked when required. The owners have great access to kids activities in Bali from their favourite kids sites and a detailed guidebook for insider tips for your stay. All bedrooms have TV and DVD players plus air conditioning. There are ceiling fans throughout the villa, along with WiFi and stereo with surround sound. Two bikes are available.

About the Location

Villa Bella is in Banjar Kuwum, a charming village between Seminyak / Kerobokan and Canggu in the south of Bali, 25 minutes west of Denpasar City. The villa sits on 1.6 acres of tiering land facing a serene view of rice fields. The locals of the area are friendly and warm people who welcome you to their home island – there are often traditional festivities happening and to experience these is such a special opportunity for guests. Umalas is 5 minutes away and Seminyak is a 10-minute drive. The surf scene at Canggu is a 15-minute drive. Nearby attractions include: Canggu Sports Club, Desa Seni Yoga, Motion Fitness Bali, Potato Head, KuDeTa, La Luciola, Pettitneget Temple, Bali Budah, Metis. The airport is 20-30 minutes’ drive away. The closest beach is 10 minutes away.

Accommodation Details

This open plan villa has 3 bedrooms with ensuite semi-open air bathrooms and private terraces with hammocks overlooking the gardens. The upstairs master bedroom has a kingsize bed while the 2 downstairs bedrooms have 2 queensize beds. Extra beds can be set up if needed. All beds have mosquito netting and rooms all have space for cribs. There is a large open plan living room with lounge and dining table. A separate large open plan kitchen has a dining table.

Style Notes

Modern bohemian. This beautiful villa draws inspiration from interiors all over the Indonesian archipelago, and has been lovingly decorated with treasures and collectables. A regular feature in design blogs and magazines (including Garance Dore, Belle Australia and Danish Elle), it is a large open grass thatched roof villa with indoor-outdoor flow. There are 1.6 acres of tropical gardens, including a pool and lounge areas. We love the luxurious, tropical spaces, the semi-outdoor bathroom and the divine wooden day bed beside the pool.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Hi my name is Jane and I am an Australian born traveller with great interest in design and interiors. I built Villa Bella for my daughter Bella in 92. I have been visiting Bali since I was a little girl and my knowledge of the beautiful island is vast and I share some of my secret places, things to do and spots to visit in my guide book. My staff are incredible and are like family to me. Our nanny Ketut started working for me when my daughter Bella was just 5 days old! Ketut and her husband Nyoman make a wonderful team and their sweet souls will make your stay a treasured one. I decided to join Kid & Co because I feel that Villa Bella is so suitable for kids, babies and families. If you read through our guest book you will see the wonderful comments and drawings from all the kids who come and stay and the happy parents. I am based now in NYC but return to Bali a couple of times a year... I am a beach lover and nature enthusiast.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Bella. Ketut, Nyoman and the rest of the staff looked after us so well. They were so friendly and kind to our children - nothing was too much trouble. The villa is beautiful, we were taken care of so well, enjoyed delicious food and had a lovely holiday. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hope to return again one day.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time at Villa Bella. The villa's staff and family did a wonderful job taking care of us and the house and made our first trip to Bali really memorable. The house itself is stunning and styled beautifully. There would be enough space for 2 families to share and the garden and pool is a real asset to the house. The housekeeper Ketut is an amazing cook and her and her daughter also helped us look after our three small children so we could go and explore the local sights a bit. I would definitely recommend Villa Bella for a great family holiday, I just wish I lived a bit closer so I could visit more often!
