This modern urban villa is located just 30 minutes south of Barcelona in Begues, surrounded by the Garraf Natural Park. It sleeps 8. This is the perfect spot if you want to stay close to the city but still enjoy natural surroundings. Spend a tourist day out in Barcelona, enjoy a beach break a short drive away (20 minutes to Castelldefels or 30 minutes to Sitges), take a bike ride out in nature or visit the nearby wine tourism area of ‘DO Penedés’. Bikes are available for guests to borrow (2 adult urban bikes, 1 adult BTT, 2 bikes for kids aged 4-6, 1 bike for a child aged 2-3) so you can get around like a local and there’s even an indoor fitness bike for those who like to work out. Parents will love the large living room and kitchen with access to the terrace - ideal for cooking or getting together with friends around the bar while the kids have fun in the garden on a sunny day.

Why Kids Love it

This home is great for families and children of all ages are welcome. They will enjoy time in the pool and roaming around the garden, and love hanging out in the playroom, which is stocked with classic toys, puzzles, games and books. There’s a Smart TV with free access to all Streaming Platforms (including HBO, Netflix, Disney +, Apple TV) for cozy nights in. The Villa is in a residential pedestrian street with no traffic, so it’s safe for kids to play around. Begues also provides many local parks and access to nature just one step away.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. There is limited public transport in the area so a private car is recommended to explore the area. (There is a 2-car outdoor garage.) A phone taxi service is also easily available. Ask the hosts if you need a high chair, changing table, baby bed, baby monitor, stroller, car seat or boosters. All staircases have safety gates for children. The pool has a security fence. The house has electric shutters, an automatic lawn irrigation system, ethernet port in every room, WiFi, Smart TV, Yamaha wall piano, underfloor heating and cooling system plus fan coils on demand. Towels and bed linen are provided. An additional optional cleaning service can be provided during the stay.

About the Location

Begues is located 20 minutes from Barcelona Airport and 30 minutes drive from Barcelona downtown. Begues has all the essential services (supermarkets, pharmacy, bakeries, gas station, health center, local police, modern public library and school) as well as very good restaurants serving local food and international takeaway (Sushi, Pizza, Chinese). Gavá is only 10 minutes away by car and has plenty of different shopping malls and a train connection to Barcelona (Paseo de Gracia) in 20 minutes. The villa is located in a historical neighborhood, with quiet and pedestrian streets, yet only 5-10 minutes’ walk from main services (such as a supermarket, bakery, or restaurants). It’s a breeze to cross the town on the bike path and explore the nature routes that surround it, and a great starting point to explore the Penedés wine area and enjoy picturesque surrounding villages such as Sitges, Vilafranca del Penedés or Montserrat.

Accommodation Details

The villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 3 floors with no elevator. At street level, this main floor has a large living room with a large extendable sofa and great sliding door separating a spectacular designer kitchen with a bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, wine fridge, Thermomix TM6, Nespresso machine and kitchen utensils for kids. A pantry next to the kitchen includes a vacuum cleaner, cleaning supplies and storage. From here, there is access to the terrace area and 100m2 garden with pool. The terrace has a 10-seat dining table, a lounge area, barbecue and awning for shade. This main floor has also a 15m2 room with a trundle/double bed that doubles as a playroom or a guest room. There is a full bathroom nextdoor (with a shower). Upstairs, the second floor is the main rest area. There are 3 bedrooms: the primary suite with a queensize bed and full bathroom (with shower) and 2 single bedrooms that share another bathroom (with a bathtub). On the top floor is the attic studio, with an office table and a comfortable double sofabed (140cm) with access to the solarium and laundry room.

Minimalist meets industrial. Built in 2021, this villa projects an architectural design to enjoy a modern and functional lifestyle. With a South-North orientation, it has optimal insulation and the interior spaces are light and airy, with floor-to-ceiling windows and glass terrace doors to flood the indoors with sunshine. There is a neutral white color scheme throughout to create a relaxed yet minimalist look, paired with wooden materials to look relaxed and effortless. We love contrasting colorful children’s bedroom, the industrial-style living room furniture and the sleek contemporary kitchen.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
