This artistically designed residence comes with its own garden oasis, complete with a summer kitchen, outdoor living room and alfresco dining, just 15 minutes drive from the city center. It sleeps 8 + 4. Ideal for families seeking space and relaxation while still being close to all the action, this colorful house offers plenty of room with the primary bedroom occupying a floor of its own with an ensuite bathroom and a private terrace. The open plan layout downstairs lends itself well to family gathering with glass doors leading out into the leafy garden patio for seamless inside/outside living. There’s no TV, perfect for those seeking a break from the screen, but there is a projector provided for creating the ultimate at home cinema. The neighborhood has plenty on offer within walking distance including playgrounds, parks, shops, restaurants and bars. There are buses and a local metro station just a few minutes walk away for quick and easy access to all of Barcelona’s attractions.

Why Kids Love it

Perfect for kids who need space to unwind after a busy day exploring the city, this laid-back residence offers plenty of it, with the bonus of a garden providing more room to play. The hosts provide toys, board games, a blackboard, paper and paint and Lego to play with, as well as a games console for the older kids, and a cinema projector for atmospheric movie nights in. Outside, there's a treehouse for toddlers, and a good amount of flat space for little crawlers to explore. For sleeping, the kids’ room is colorful and fun with a bunk bed including a double bottom bunk, sofa space and plenty of play things. Teenagers have additional privacy with their bedroom featuring its own bathroom, desk space and an outdoor terrace. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with parks, playgrounds and a swimming pool close by as well as easy access to the city center museums and coast. The hosts can provide a highchair and a changing table on request.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. This residence is set over 3 floors (without an elevator) and includes stairs without stairgates so younger ones should be supervised. There’s a sofa bed and 2 extra mattresses for accommodating up to 4 additional guests; please let the hosts know in advance if you wish to use these. The house has air conditioning and WiFi as well as workspace for those who need it. It also has an alarm for additional security. Please note there is no TV though a projector and screen are provided. There is a housekeeper; please ask the hosts if you require their services. There is no parking provided but there is excellent local public transport, so a car is not needed. Sorry, no pets.

About the Location

The residence is located in the residential neighborhood of Les Tres Torres, known for its green spaces and relaxed family-friendly vibes. There are 3 main parks within walking distance, ideal for kids of all ages and the local neighborhood center is around a 10-minute walk with bars, restaurants, a cinema and a gym. There are also pharmacies, supermarkets and bakeries within a 5-minute walk. The Pedralbes Royal Castle is in this district, around a 20-minute walk with pretty gardens to explore and for those on the Gaudi trail, the Torre Bellesguard is also walkable, around 20 minutes away. For those keen to explore wider Barcelona, the closest metro line to the city center is only an 8 minute walk connecting families with all the sights including the Park Güell, the CosmoCaixa science museum, the Aquarium and Tibidabo Amusement Park. The closest international airport is the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, a 25min drive from the house.

Accommodation Details

The residence has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms set over 3 floors. The ground floor is largely open plan with a living room, a fully stocked kitchen including a dishwasher, a dining table seating 10, and a small bathroom. The kitchen opens on to the backyard via glass doors where guests will find a pretty patio garden featuring a barbecue, a dining table, sofas to relax on and a cute treehouse for the smaller kids. Back inside, the first floor has 2 bedrooms, the first is the kids’ room set up with a bunk bed (1 single on top and 1 double on the bottom) and 2 extra mattresses for sleeping additional guests. The second is a guest room ideal for a teenager with a desk, a piano, a queensize bed, an ensuite bathroom and terrace access. On the top floor is the primary bedroom which comes with a queensize bed, an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and a private terrace.

Style Notes

Urban oasis. Lush, leafy and full of color, this creative vacation base has plenty of artistic touches, with books, music, and a collection of paintings, some painted by the hosts themselves. Iconic furniture also features throughout, gathered on travels across the world with each telling its own story and adding plenty of character. The bathrooms have a Tadelakt style plaster finish with Marrakech vibes, complimented by the feature headboard in the primary bedroom. We love the leafy garden patio, packed with plants and atmosphere with hanging pendant lights, an outdoor kitchen, alfresco dining and cozy corner sofas for making the most of those warm summer nights.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Hi! We are a very international family based in Barcelona: my name is Monica and I am half Colombian, half Spanish Catalan. I am a dentist and I own a medical center in the city. I speak Spanish, Catalan, Italian, English and French. My husband is from USA and his name is Keith, he owns a water research company based in Boston, he speaks English , Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese and can get by in French. We have an 11 year old son who plays piano, loves robotics and speaks Spanish, English, Catalan, French, and is now learning Mandarin! We own a beautiful 3 floors house built in 1923 with a garden that we renovated in the best residential area surrounded by all services, buses and a metro stop very close by. We would love to swap or rent so we can explore the world and help other people do the same. Tips to know: Barbecue, home hosts up to 9 people, alarm system, no TV but projector+screen to connect with any device.
