Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. The residence is set over 3 floors and does not have an elevator. There are no stair gates at the property or corner guards for the glass dining table, so young children may need to be supervised. Please note that there are no cots or highchairs for babies, but it should be possible to rent baby equipment in the city if needed. There is off-street private parking at the front of the house; a car is not essential to explore as there are many attractions within walking distance and good transport links nearby. The nearest train station is Clapham Junction, 15 minutes’ walk from the residence with fast overground trains to central London.

About the Location

The residence is situated in southwest London's Battersea neighborhood. It’s just an 8-minute walk to Battersea Park and a 7-minute walk to Battersea Square with a selection of good local restaurants and a bakery. The King’s Road in Chelsea with its independent and high street boutiques and cafés as well as an award-winning art gallery and theatre is a 10-minute bus ride or a 20-minute walk away. The new Battersea Power station development is also 20-minutes' walk with relaxed family restaurants, movie theaters, and a tube station. The Thames clipper is a fun alternative to the train with stops at Chelsea harbour pier directly across the river or at Battersea power station, taking passengers past the Tate Gallery, Westminster, The Southbank and beyond. For international travel, Gatwick airport is approximately 1 hour by car and Heathrow is 1 hour, 20 minutes by train or 50 minutes by car.

Style Notes

City chic. This Victorian residence blends period style with contemporary comfort incorporating fun bursts of color, playful modern art and bold upholstery to create a warm and characterful home away from home. Its inviting charm extends from the sophisticated open plan living areas to the bedrooms which have been individually styled with beautiful wallpapers to create a unique feel in each. The light, bright and airy interiors create a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere with plush sofas and comfortable beds that promise a peaceful and restorative night's sleep. We love the fun fluffy white stools, the bold and beautiful wallpapers and the statement art pieces, featuring a particularly memorable portrait of the Queen.

Battersea, London

Thames walks and park strolls

South of the river, but only just, family-friendly Battersea is known for its power station - a major local landmark - and its excellent park, home to a mini zoo, boating lake and duck pond. Lavender Hill and Clapham Junction nearby have great pubs and cafés and just across the Thames are the chi-chi areas of Chelsea and Pimlico. It’s well connected by train and bus to the city at large.
