Perks for the Parents

This 3-bedroom Bayswater beauty will have your family primed for adventures galore, whether you choose to go by foot or by public transportation. London's Paddington Station is steps away, so you can easily access the Heathrow Express, 4 tube lines, and Network Rail. Too jetlagged to go for a stroll and your kids making you a little crazy? Consider yourself in luck as this property has a unique (for London) tiled courtyard where your kids can run around a bit - or you can retreat with a cup of tea. Parents will love that the entire residence is on one floor so there's no worrying about younger tots wandering up and down stairs.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will love being in the hustle and bustle of this metropolitan wonder and if you've got Paddington Bear enthusiasts, you're definitely in the right spot - set up a little scavenger hunt and find the famous bear statue in Paddington Station. The quaint neighborhood of Little Venice is a short walk away and kids will love checking out the canal boats and cafes along the way. Rent an electric GoBoat and captain your team through London's unique and picturesque canal network. Hyde Park is about 10 minutes away by foot and is the perfect spot to let your kids shake off some energy. Buckhill Playground is just inside the Lancaster Gate entrance.

Things to Know

Minimum stay for this home is 3 nights. The residence is on the lower ground floor with no elevator and the entrance is at the bottom of a narrow, steep set of steps. There's no air-conditioning in this home, so fans are placed in all rooms during the summer months (and by request outside of summer). The owners of this home have a dog so if there are any pet allergies in your group this may not be the spot for you. Please give advance notice if you'd like the sofa bed or trundle bed made up. As with many flats in London, you'll find a clothes washer but no tumble dryer so give yourself time for clothes to air dry after washing a load.

About the Location

This cozy home is in the heart of Bayswater, a leafy, residential, and cosmopolitan neighborhood located in the heart of the bustling City of Westminster (close to Hyde Park, Regent's Park, Buckingham Palace and London Zoo to name a few hot spots). Paddington Station is minutes away by foot, which means that the travel time between Heathrow Airport and your London home away from home via the Heathrow Express is only 20 minutes door to door. Make sure to check out what's on at The Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Park - it's a free-entry art gallery hosting incredible seasonal exhibitions and is very family friendly. On your way there, try to find the Peter Pan statue, an homage to former Bayswater resident author, J.M. Barrie.

Accommodation Details

The property has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps up to 8 guests. The inviting sitting room with an ornamental fireplace has a TV and a large, sectional sofa, perfect for putting your feet up after a busy day of exploring. The kitchen is chic and functional with white marble countertops, rich green cupboards, and brass details. The primary bedroom has a luxuriously large kingsize bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom also has a kingsize bed, and the third has a fire-engine red single bed with an additional trundle bed. For groups with more than 6 guests, the sitting room also has a double sofa bed.

Style Notes

Modern Metropolitan. This home is both crisp and calm, cozy and refined. We love the wide plank wooden flooring, the elegant racing green cupboards in the kitchen, and the groovy, wooden carved seat sculpture in the sitting room.

Bayswater, London

Diverse, cosmopolitan and central

Bordering Hyde Park, desirable Bayswater is diverse, cosmopolitan and central. Stroll the beautiful streets to admire London’s Victorian architecture and manicured garden squares at its best, wander down to Kensington Gardens for one of the city’s best playgrounds or jump on a Tube to explore neighboring areas of Notting Hill and Knightsbridge.
