Style Notes
Classic luxury. The 18th century mansion has been completely refurbished with ceiling with mouldings, Hungarian-style wooden floors, marble fireplaces, wood beamed ceilings, Italian shower, large bathtub, and a wonderful view over the valley and the swimming pool. We love the spiral staircase, the tiled floor in the hallway, the shabby-chic touches and the perfectly-equipped kitchen. Kids rooms are simply designed and not overblown and have plenty of charm. Rooms - bedrooms, lounges, play rooms - are very large.

TERMINATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be notified via registered mail to Domaine de Vavril, Vavril, 69430 BEAUJEU, FRANCE.
1. a) Termination at the initiative of the Tenant
Any termination of this contract by the Tenant shall be addressed to the Landlord by registered letter to the address of the Domaine, the date of receipt by the Landlord shall prevail.
If the cancellation occurs less than 6 weeks before the date of entry into the premises, the total rent remains acquired by the Landlord.
If the Tenant does not respond within 48 hours following the arrival date indicated in the rental contract, this contract will become void and the Landlord may then dispose of the premises.
The amounts paid under this contract will remain the property of the Landlord.
If the stay is shortened, or if the event does not occur, the rental remains acquired by the Landlord. There will be no refund for any reason.
2. b) Termination at the initiative of the Landlord
3. - Before occupancy of the premises;
In case of force majeure or due to a third party, another rental period will be proposed to the Tenant. If the new period cannot be accepted, then the Landlord will refund all the amounts
The refund will be sent to the Tenant by registered letter for France (or express mail for abroad), within 15 days after the notification of termination.
Force majeure and the act of a third party include any event that would make the premises unsuitable for rental.
4. - After occupancy of the premises:
When it occurs during the rental period, termination of the contract by the Landlord must be justified either by a failure of the Tenant to fulfill his obligations, (rental payment default, NSF
check issued by the Tenant, proven damage to premises rented, neighborhood complaints, non-compliance with the destination of the premises and their use) or in case of force majeur independent of the parties.
If the Tenant failed to fulfill his contract obligations:
Termination can be made by simple verbal notification; it is made with immediate effect and without notice. It led to the departure of the Tenant within the hour. A registered letter for France (or express mail for abroad), explaining the reasons for termination will be sent to the Tenant within 15 days from the verbal notification of termination. In this case, the Landlord reserves itself the right to keep the security deposit amount under the conditions specified in "Security Deposit" subsection.
Whatever the cause of termination, the total rental amount will remain acquired by the Landlord by way of fine.
In case of force majeure:
In case of force majeure, a different rental period will be proposed to the Tenant. If the new proposed period cannot be accepted, the Landlord will refund the amount of the rental corresponding to the lost days. This refund will be sent to the Tenant by registered letter for France (or express mail for abroad), within 15 days after the notification of termination.
When the booking is accepted by the Landlord, the amount of 3.000€ will be “reserved” on the Tenant credit card by Kid & Coe. Nothing is charged to the credit card at the time of booking.
If damage occurs and is mutually agreeable by both the Landlord and the Tenant, the security deposit amount set by the Landlord is charged to the card and paid over to the Landlord.
In this respect, the Landlord is entitled to claim from the Tenant:
- The total value of the price of replacement of objects, furniture or materials broken, cracked, chipped
- An indemnity for damage of any kind on the curtains, paintings, ceilings, floors, windows, etc. ... or to replace them if necessary.
- The rehabilitation of premises, various repairs, fines and other payments for all illegal activities or activities exercised without authorization of the Landlord and that engaged the responsibility of the Landlord.
The Tenant must immediately inform the Landlord if something is broken or gets damaged during their stay. Damages claims must be submitted in via email to the Tenant within 48 hours of the Tenant’s departure. Claims must specify the damages clearly and with supporting photos.
Depending upon the extent of damage, the replacement value will be deducted from your security deposit. The deduction amount shall, if appropriate, be duly justified by the Landlord on the basis of the outgoing inventory of fixtures, bailiff’s report, cost estimates, invoices...
If the security deposit is insufficient, the Tenant commits to complete the sum on the basis of supporting documents provided by the Landlord. This supplement can in no way be deducted from the payment of the rent. In addition to the host’s policy which is listed here, all cancellations are subject to a Kid & Coe cancellation fee of 15% of the booking total.
We love to travel all around the world with my 3 kids. Back to France after living 10 years in London, we still need to discover new places which can welcome all our friends and family. We bought and refurbished the Domaine de Vavril as a family country house without forgetting modernity and comfort. Joining Kid & Coe was an evidence because the concept represents our ideal kind of holidays.
Beaujolais, South of France
Valuable vines and active family fun
Famed for its wine, Beaujolais is north of Lyon and is full of beautiful stone villages, winding country roads and patchwork fields of valuable vines. The vineyards are the main attraction, but do check in advance as some are more family-friendly than others. The kids will love a cruise down the Saône, high ropes courses in the forest or hiring bikes to explore quiet riverside paths.
