Perks for the Parents

This wonderful family home is close to parks and grocery stores and is ideal for a long stay in the city. Set up for a family with a fully functional kitchen, comfortable living space and fenced back yard for extra play space. The bathroom includes a shower and big bath tub. There is a stacked laundry on the same floor as the bedrooms. There is street parking nearby. It is a great family neighborhood with all conveniences for a month-long stay in the city.

Why Kids Love it

There are great nearby parks (Dufferin Grove and Dovercourt Park) with lots of things to do with kids in the area. Both have big play areas for kids, plus a giant sand box, water-play area and more. There are tons of young families around and kids are welcome in neighborhood coffee shops and more. The house is fully child-proofed and ideal for babies and toddlers. The second bedroom is a functional and inviting nursery.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 days. The property is available through July. Parking is street parking only. There is a construction project down the road so large trucks sometimes come down the street. The neighborhood has plenty of local markets and parks; the house is a 5-minute walk from 3 excellent independent green grocers, Bakerbots and Gusparos butcher. Free WiFi throughout plus a 40 " flat-screen TV on pivot mount and state of the art sound system with turntable and retro LP collection.

About the Location

The residence is in the family-friendly neighborhood of Bloorcourt Village to the northwest of central Toronto. The harbourfront, entertainment district and city center are around 20 minutes’ drive away. The residence is right on a Subway line (2 minutes from nearest entrance), making travel easy in the city; if you are traveling with a stroller, the walk to a stroller-enabled entrance is 4 minutes away. The property is around 30 minutes from Toronto airport by car.

Accommodation Details

This heritage townhouse has 2 bedrooms, a spa bathroom, an office and a gourmet kitchen. The master bedroom has a queensize bed and the nursery/second bedroom has a crib. A double and single air bed can be added. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and deep soaking tub. There is a state-of-the-art stacked laundry and a professional kitchen with Vitamix, Le Creuset, Magimix, Bosch dishwasher, gas stove and more. There is a cedar-fenced back yard with gas and coal barbecues and a herb garden; there is also a sunny front patio.

Style Notes

Mid-century eclectic. This comfortable, stylish home has all the ingredients for an exceptional family stay in the city, including a professional kitchen set up by a food critic. For kids, the deep soaker bathtub makes bathtime extra special; for adults the convenient laundry makes life easy while the tech touches, including a turntable and retro LP collection, are a delight. We love the hardwood floors, the classic subway tiles and the great use of color throughout.

Hi there. My name is Jillian Dickens. My husband and I have a 2-year old daughter who loves to push things, move things around in the park, help us cook and learn new phrases everyday. She likes singing and dancing. Both my husband and I work in travel so we go away a lot for work, and are happy to be able to bring BHG too. Our favourite destination is Japan.
