Perks for the Parents

This bright, spacious family home sleeps up to 6 and is ideal for a family with 2-4 school-aged children and a baby. The open plan kitchen and living area opens to a spacious, fully-enclosed backyard complete with dining patio, gas grill, and lounge chairs beneath tall maples that provide shade in the summer. The quiet office workspace keeps parents connected to work and home. After a day spent exploring Boulder Falls, shopping along Pearl Street, or skiing in nearby Vail or Breckenridge, parents can retreat to their private ensuite bathroom to relax tired muscles in the thermostatic rainshower and the Duravit soaking tub. Downtown Boulder and local shops are all an 5-minute walk away for an easy family stay.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will love the cheery, separate single children’s bedrooms with plush rugs and colorful bunting. The kids bedrooms share a bathroom. Parents can relax with a good book on the outdoor lounge chairs while children enjoy the provided trapeze swing, jungle gym, and sports equipment. The formal dining table adjacent to the kitchen seats 8 and is an inviting space for families to enjoy home-cooked meals, chat, play games, and reconnect. The finished, carpeted basement filled with colorful children’s artwork includes a second sectional sofa and a large collection of children’s toys and games for keeping little ones entertained on rainy days. A crib may be available on request, along with children’s bicycles and scooters.

Things to Know

A single off-street parking space is available in the driveway, and plenty of free, unlimited street parking is available. In lieu of an air conditioning unit, the house has a whole-house evaporative cooler with a thermostat. This residence does not allow pets. Style Notes

Featured in a local design magazine for a story entitled "Great Spaces," the Mapleton Avenue Residence is exactly that. The owners collaborated with renowned architect Steve Perce of BLDG Collective in 2008 to open and expand the floor plan to create an integrated indoor/outdoor family friendly space with clean, modern lines. The architect-designed, modern design touches merge seamlessly with inventively repurposed antique pieces from the original 1923 structure. We love the hardwood floors, Carrara marble, and original artwork throughout.

Boulder, Colorado

Gateway to the Rocky Mountains

At the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills, Boulder is frequently ranked as one of the best places to live in the United States for its consistently sunny weather, fantastic outdoor recreational opportunities, environmentally conscious residents, and abundance of public parks and green spaces. Head downtown to the Pearl Street pedestrian mall to watch street performers, ride the free Tebo train for children, or cool off in the Pop Jet Fountain. When the snow begins to fall, head to nearby Eldora Mountain Resort or take a day trip to Vail or Breckenridge for world-class skiing and snowboarding.
