Perks for the Parents

This modern, 2-story ranch house next to the natural beauty of Boulder Open Space has stunning, contemporary interiors designed for family life. It sleeps 13 + 1. This home was remodeled for the family with young children. The primary bedroom, while on a separate side of the house, is on the same level as the kids’ rooms. The downstairs suite is perfect for an au pair, nanny or grandparent who needs a separate space. Parents will enjoy the large deck with lounge seating to entertain or simply relax while the kids play. The original home was built and owned for 50 years by the founder of the first plastic ski boot made, a wonderful history for a Boulder property.

Why Kids Love it

The arts and crafts room is where children love to hang out here. The table is paint covered and the chairs are durable and wipeable in case of a spill. Loads of children’s books for 3 to young teen are in each room and toys abound in the playroom. Biking and hiking everywhere is possible from this location and connection to nature is effortless. The lot is enormous with an epic play area for kids. There’s room to play tag and football, a Ninja Line obstacle course and the best swing in town.

Style Notes

Boulder beauty. This contemporary residence with a legendary ski history has been remodelled with a fresh, modern and minimalist vibe. While being child-friendly, it’s sophisticated with quality-built furniture and high-end finishes. The interiors are beautiful and so it’s no surprise to learn that the host is an interior designer who enjoys creating clean and open spaces amidst the chaos of family life. Original exposed brick that has been painted white adds texture and character, while the tongue and groove ceiling is reminiscent of a Californian beach. We love the whimsical chairlift swing in the living room that adds that modern mountain vibe in a chic way, the deer antlers on the walls, and the fun and stylish black and white wallpaper in the bathroom.
