This home is located right on the Blue River, creating the most spectacular views and offering a range of outdoor activities including fishing, hiking and biking. Spend your days on the slopes and return to this relaxing retreat, where you can take a dip in the hot tub, watch the stars from the balcony, or huddle round the stone fireplace in the comfortable open plan living area.

Why Kids Love it

The house has a great 3-storey layout, with space for 4 adults or kids on the top and basement floors, so you can share with another family and all have your own space to relax. This is a great ski resort for families, with a ski school for kids, as well as kids adventure zone routes on the slopes. For high-octane days out, take the kids on the alpine coaster, to a zipline trail or the Epic Discovery amusement park for year-round outdoor entertainment. For quieter days, visit Mountain Top Explorium children’s museum and the family-friendly eateries in Breckenridge town.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. This home is professionally managed with hosts available around the clock to answer questions or provide assistance where needed. Guests enter the property via the garage, where there is an entry code for access and stairs up to the main level. Please park at the top of the driveway in winter - if there is heavy snow or ice your vehicle could get stranded at the bottom of the driveway. 4WD or AWD vehicles are highly recommended in winter. House rules: no candles or open flames, no smoking, no pets, no outdoor shoes inside the house. Please lock all doors and windows when you leave and keep the furniture where it is currently placed. Violation of house rules will result in a $1000 fine each time.

About the Location

This residence is located right next to Blue River, just 10 minutes outside Breckenridge, Colorado. Blue River Valley views do not disappoint in the summer or the winter, and endless activities are accessible within a short drive or hike. Visit the slopes of Breckenridge mountain in the winter or hike around crystal blue glacier lakes in the summer, this is a magical place at any time of year. If you plan to visit the mountain, the best route is by car (10-20 minutes’ drive): park at the Gondola near the F lot in Breckenridge and then use lift tickets to take you up the mountain. Alternatively, you can use the Park County Commuter Route for public transportation, but this can be tricky if there’s heavy snow or you’re carrying lots of equipment.

Accommodation Details

This residence has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 3 floors. On the main level, there’s an open plan kitchen/living/dining area with a cozy fireplace, as well as a guest bedroom with a queensize bed and a bathroom with a shower-over-bathtub. The primary bedroom is located on the third floor loft level, and boasts a kingsize bed, a lounge area with a double sofabed and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. On the basement level, there’s another pull-out double sofabed, a queensize bedroom and full bathroom with a walk-in shower. Balconies wrap around the second and third floors looking out over the beautiful Blue River valley. Outside there is a hot tub, fire pit, grill and lots of outdoor seating.

Style Notes

Mountain retreat. This cozy cabin has everything you’d expect from a traditional ski lodge - think exposed stone walls, rustic wood materials and patterned textiles. The timber structure is exposed throughout, creating the feel of a treehouse and bringing the natural outdoor scenes to life indoors. What’s more, the double height living space allows for lots of light and creates a unique mezzanine area upstairs to escape for a moment of privacy. We love the tree trunk bedside tables, the contemporary black hardware in the bathroom and the quirky branch bed frame in the primary bedroom.

Payment policy
Kid & Coe will collect 50% of the total stay as a deposit if the check-in date of stay is more than 12 weeks away. The remaining balance of 50% will be collected at 12 weeks from check in. If the booking is made within 12 weeks of the check-in date, the full amount of the stay will be charged at time of booking acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified at 12 weeks or more from the check in date, Guests can either opt for a full credit equal to the value of the amount paid, or opt for a monetary refund less 10% of the total cost of the booking, given as a Kid & Coe credit. For cancellations notified at 12 weeks or less, no refunds will be given. In addition to the host’s policy which is listed here, all cancellations are subject to a Kid & Coe cancellation fee of 10% of the booking total.
