From North Carolina to New York, over a decade ago my husband and I started what we thought would be a two-year adventure. Four children later and a handful of moves we have settled into a cozy spot in Brooklyn Heights. It’s the perfect location; we are just a short walk to the iconic Brooklyn Bridge Park and steps away from the most spectacular views of Manhattan via the promenade. In addition to being tourists in our own city, we love travel- (with) and without little ones! Kid and Coe sparked our interest after viewing the beautiful properties online and learning to navigate travel with small children. Comfort and convivence are key, but a beautiful space provokes joy in all.

Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn

America's first suburb

Historical Brownstone Brooklyn starts here, where Brooklyn Bridge connects to Manhattan. It's a quiet, peaceful area - you might even wake up to birdsong - and is populated by families. Explore parks, kids shops and family-friendly eateries, then cycle or walk across the bridge to the big city. Don't miss the views from Brooklyn promenade over the water to the skyscrapers.

Our stay was great! The location is close and walkable to restaurants, parks and also the Subway station. It was a perfect central location for our visit and enabled a quick train ride to the city. The residence was clean, cozy and I loved the decor. Our kids had fun with the toys, books and stuffed animals during the mornings and evenings. We didn't have a chance to use the backyard but it looked like a good space to run around and get some energy out. The host had great communication and was helpful with recommendations and any questions I had. We would definitely stay there again on another visit to Brooklyn!
