The primary bedroom is set away from the rest on a floor of its own for additional privacy and comfort, benefiting from a kingsize bed, an ensuite bathroom and a small office. The house’s location is ideal for making the most of the city while keeping the kids happy with playgrounds, parks, toy stores, and an abundance of restaurants, bars and grocery stores within walking distance. The local subway is also a short walk for quick and easy travel into central NY.

The residence is located in a tight knit neighborhood with a community feel and lots on offer for kids of all ages including playgrounds, parks and kid-friendly museums. The hosts provide Micro and Maxi scooters to borrow as well as 1 kids’ bike for a fun way to explore the local area. Prospect Park, a real family gem, is a 20 minute cycle with multiple playgrounds, a zoo, biking trails and a boating lake - the perfect place to let little ones burn some energy before heading into the city. For laid back afternoons back at home, the residence has a cozy living/TV room on the third floor with a cinema style wall mounted screen for family movie fun, a games console, and a playfully decorated kids’ bunk room filled with toys and books as well as a bean bag sofa. The cute backyard offers additional play space on warmer days, as well as a BBQ grill. The hosts can provide a travel crib, 2 Stokke highchairs, a clip-on highchair, extra stairgates and a stroller on request.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 4 nights. The house is set over 3 floors without an elevator. There are 2 flights of stairs within the house with a baby stairgate on the top floor where the kids’ room is and spare gates to install if needed. There is an alarm system which guests are welcome to use on request. The hosts can set up a double sofa bed and a double airbed to sleep additional guests on request. There is WiFi throughout the house and desk space on the first floor for those needing to work. There is also air conditioning and a washer/dryer for added convenience. A car is not necessary as the neighborhood has excellent public transport links and is easily explorable by bike or on foot.

About the Location

The townhouse is located on a leafy street on the Bedford–Stuyvesant (Bed Stuy) and Clinton Hill borders of Brooklyn. The neighborhood is both lively and family-friendly, with wide sidewalks comfortably accommodating strollers and plenty of welcoming cafes, restaurants and playgrounds just minutes’ walk away. Prospect Park, an NY family-favorite, is just a 20-minute cycle or 30-minute walk with a zoo, carousel, botanic gardens, lake, hiking trails playgrounds and a roller or ice rink depending on the season. There are several subway stations under a 10-minute walk from the residence on the A/C/G subway lines providing easy access to classic NYC activities such as the Natural History Museum, Central park, and the Empire State building. All of New York’s international airports are around 45 minutes to 1 hour away by car or train.

Accommodation Details

The townhouse has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms set over 3 floors. The first floor, also known as the parlour floor, houses the central living space with an open plan living room/kitchen/diner and a powder room. The living area has a comfy sofa, 2 modern chairs, a coffee table and a fireplace. The brand-new galley style kitchen is fully equipped with everything a guest would expect including top of the range stainless steel appliances, with a contemporary dining table, seating 6. Doors from here lead out to the landscaped patio garden which has an alfresco dining table seating 8, a coffee lounger set and a grill. Back inside, the second floor is home to the primary bedroom which comes with a kingsize bed, an ensuite bathroom and a small office space. The third floor contains 1 large kids’ bedroom with bunk beds sleeping 2 and an ensuite bathroom; a third bedroom with a queensize bed and a TV room with a double sofa bed, a flatscreen TV, and use of a separate shared bathroom.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
