This contemporary, family-friendly apartment in Crown Heights has a lovely garden and is 2 blocks from the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. It sleeps 4 + 1. It has been fully renovated so furnishings and décor are new. The kitchen has everything you need, including machine and pour over coffee makers. There’s also space in the entryway for a stroller. This cozy apartment is an ideal launching point for exploring the city.

Why Kids Love it

The apartment is especially well set up for young children, babies and toddlers. As well as a wooden crib, there are blackout curtains, a sound machine, a high chair and toys, plus a giant collection of books for kids age 2 to 10. The bathroom has a bathtub for bedtime routine. The nearby Brooklyn Children's Museum with interactive exhibits is wonderful for kids, especially those 5 and under. You’ll be close to several parks including favorites Brower, Stroud, and Underhill.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. The apartment is on the same level as the garden, which is fully enclosed. There are 3 steps down to get into the apartment. Please note that the hosts and their 2 children live in the apartment upstairs. You may hear footsteps in the morning, but they do their best to be respectful. There is on-street parking available, or the hosts can recommend a garage nearby if required.

About the Location

This apartment is in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York on a tree-lined block of historic brownstones. It's a 10-minute walk to the A/C trains to the north and about the same to the 2/3 and 4/5 trains to the south. Fly in via JFK airport, approximately 50 minutes by taxi or train. Prospect Park and its playgrounds, the Brooklyn Library and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden are all within a 30-minute stroll.

Accommodation Details

This apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom arranged over a single floor. The living space has sofas and a kitchenette with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and breakfast bar for 2. The primary bedroom has a queensize bed and the other has a twin / single bed, and a wooden crib, desk and dresser. An additional small child can be accommodated on a fold-out mattress. The family bathroom has a shower over tub and vanity unit. The garden has trees, shrubs and a patio with outside seating for 4.

Style Notes

Brooklyn bright. This colorful hideaway is practical and modern with all the amenities you’ll need for a family stay in the NY. The kitchen/living area faces south and gets lots of bright light all day while both bedrooms look out to the garden. The style is minimal, with a focus on function and comfort. We love the super comfortable beds, the engineered oak floor throughout and the table and chairs to relax and perhaps enjoy a drink in the garden.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

We love exploring Brooklyn and beyond and have lots of recommendations for parks, restaurants, museums, and more.
