The Granuaille Residence
Perks for the Parents
This beautiful New South Wales home is well set-up for families and is a short walk from Bangalow and 15 minutes from the beaches of Byron Bay. The bedrooms in the main house are close together, and the dining, kitchen and living areas are spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and separate tub. The residence has an outdoor cabin with attached outdoor bathroom, sleeping 2, which is perfect for older children, friends or an au pair.
Why Kids Love it
The home has plenty of books and toys for children under 10, and the sizeable hallway, bedrooms and back living area are floorboarded and perfect for wheeled toys. The hot tub is fantastic for kids all-year-round, and it is a short walk from local playgrounds. The kids' room is decorated with lots of color, and there is good provision for little kids: a crib, baby bath, 2 high chairs, car seats and a moses basket crib for very small guests are available.
Things to Know
Please note that the outdoor hot tub has a detachable wooden cover, which should be in place at all times when children are playing outside. There is a driveway and electric gate so you can park next to the house. There is a stone staircase from the back deck into the garden, and a drop into the garden (just under 1 metre) from one side - so adults should exercise caution if children are playing on the deck.
About the Location
The residence is a 2-minute walk from central Bangalow, which has an abundance of child-friendly cafés and shops. Ballina airport is a 20-minute drive away, and the Gold Coast (Coolangatta) airport is a 40-minute trip. There is a farmers' market with local fresh produce every Saturday, just over the road. Once a month there is a huge market featuring local crafts, musicians and food.
