Perks for the Parents

This cool coastal pad comes with direct access to a private beach, paddle boards and beach toys to borrow, and views over Cape Cod Bay. It sleeps 7+3. Guests have the beach literally in their backyard, with easy stepped access back to the house for those managing naps, snack and mealtime schedules. The house is set in lovely lawned gardens with space for the kids to play, an outdoor shower for rinsing off sandy feet and hammocks for relaxing beneath the trees. There’s an alfresco BBQ terrace and a fully stocked chef’s kitchen for laid back dining. The house is split into 2 wings connected by an enclosed breezeway, with living rooms and bedrooms either side so the kids can play while the adults enjoy some peace and quiet on the other side. Local stores and restaurants are only a 5-minute drive away, and Boston is reachable in an hour.

Why Kids Love it

A beachside haven perfect for kids of all ages with the sea literally on their doorstep. The beach has shallow entry without any sudden drop-off or waves, making for great swimming and fun low-tide exploration for little paddlers. The hosts have a good selection of beach toys for kids and adults alike, including a paddle board and "Aqua Lily Pad" for floating in the water. Inside, there’s a bunk room for sleepover style fun, and a recently renovated den with plenty of toys, books and board games. There are hammocks in the garden and ample lawn space for games and picnics. The local area has lots of family-friendly activities including a local nature reserve with seals, whale watching tours, bike riding trails and water and trampoline parks. The hosts can provide a crib, pack and play, highchair and baby toys on request.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights but 7 nights from June 1st until September 21st with a Saturday check in/out. Please note that the stairs down to the beach are quite steep and the garden is partly unfenced with steep areas so young kids should be supervised. There is WiFi and office space for those who need to work. There is a double air bed to sleep additional guests; please ask the hosts if you would like this set up. There is private parking available on site and a car is recommended for exploring nearby. Sorry, no pets.

About the Location

The residence is set on a quiet residential street in southern Plymouth, just north of Cape Cod, and an hour’s drive from downtown Boston. Style Notes

Coastal cottage. Recently renovated and restyled, this charming house has light, bright beachy vibes. Whitewashed walls and crisp new linens add freshness while eye catching art works and luxurious furnishings uplift with some warmth and color. Large picture windows and floor to ceiling doors draw in the light, along with the ocean views which can be seen from nearly every room in the house. Small staircases and the cleverly designed breezeway create both spacious areas and cozy nooks, perfect for curling up with a coffee or a book. We love the new family bathroom with its extra deep soaking tub and the tastefully renovated den with a wet-bar that invites guests to grab a drink to enjoy and soak up the views of the bay.
