I'm a German mama of two (girl+boy). I grew up in Germany and met my American husband during a semester abroad in Australia (near Brisbane). After a few years living together in the US, we decided to move to a warm climate and picked Panama. Our daughter was born in Panama, our son was born in Germany. We LOVE to travel and explore.

Casco Viejo, Panama City

Panama’s most characterful spot

The historic district of Panama City is a world heritage site, built - tell the kids - after the original Panama City was ravaged by pirates in 1671. Today its grand colonial squares hide such delights as craft markets selling traditional Molas made by the Kuna Indians, hats and beads along with the bold views towards the primary-colored BioMuseo, designed by Frank Gehry. Panama’s most charismatic and walkable neighborhood is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and is also home to the best mixture of food and restaurants in the city. Don’t miss the the Metropolitan Park and Ancon Hill (two rainforest parks in the city center), the Panama Canal and divine fresh ceviche.
