Style Notes

Nature-focused and light-filled. This traditional home with lush, shaded backyard is family-focused and serenely decorated with reflections of nature throughout. Children's rooms are cozy, sweet, and inviting, and the whole home has a Pottery Barn influence and 'Pinterest DIY' feel to it. There are oak hardwoods throughout, granite countertops and stainless appliances, and especially organized spaces. We love the thoughtful outdoor space with extended table and rustic pendant lights, hammock and hanging guitars in the living room.

Our family loves to hike, sing, play music, and spend quality time with friends. We enjoy running through Bidwell Park and our two young boys spend much of their time outside or reading from their extensive book collection. Our favorite travel destinations take us further into the outdoors and getting to know new cultures and people. We joined Kid & Coe in hopes to exchange homes with families from around the world.

Chico, California

Trees, culture and city parks

Butte County's biggest city, 1.5 hours north of Sacramento, is known for its trees, culture and city parks. On the edge of the Sacramento Valley, the city limits reach into the Sierra Nevada foothills and there are plenty of hiking trails nearby. Don't miss the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation if your kids like big snakes and bigger cats, the unique playground at Caper Acres, and the city's Saturday farmer's market for a taste of the local area.
