This is a great base for families who want to explore London: there’s a tube station just minutes away and it’s central enough to be surrounded by bustling cafes and restaurants. The 2 children’s bedrooms are filled with toys, books and playful decor to make little ones feel at home. This area of London is known for its influx of families - there’s plenty to see and do nearby for kids. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from Agnes Riley Gardens playground, and you’re located between Clapham Common, Wandsworth Common and Brockwell Park - 3 of the biggest green spaces in south London, each boasting playgrounds and more for kids.

Things to Know

No pets, parties or smoking. The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests will receive a rental agreement prior to their stay which you are required to sign and submit. Please note, the exterior of the house has recently been painted and the kitchen, third bedroom and garden have been updated.

About the Location

The house is located in Clapham, south London. It’s 8 minutes’ walk to Clapham South tube station, which is also the southern entry point to Clapham Common. The Common is lined with pubs, coffee shops and restaurants making it a great place to stroll at weekends. It’s a 10-minute drive to Clapham Junction train station, for access to the airports or overground rail around the country. Heathrow airport is around 1.5 hours away by car or train; Gatwick airport is roughly 1 hour away.

Accommodation Details

This residence has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. On the ground floor you’ll find a spacious living room at the front and an open plan kitchen/dining room at the back, with access to the garden. Upstairs, there’s a bright and airy bedroom with a double sofabed and a desk by the bay windows. The second bedroom has a double (trundle) bed which can be arranged as 2 twins on request. This floor also has a children’s bedroom with a single bed and a family bathroom up a few split-level stairs. On the top floor you’ll find the primary bedroom with a kingsize bed and modern bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Style Notes

Whimsical and colorful. The hosts have chosen bright artwork and fresh light paintwork to create a relaxing yet inspiring space. Period features still stand out - check out the beautiful bay windows and original fireplaces - while contemporary family living remains at the forefront. We love the turquoise kitchen cabinetry, the parquet flooring in the living room and the bold spotlight-style lamp.

When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
Full refund (less 3% processing fee) when cancelling at least 5 days before arrival, 50% refund if cancelling less than 5 days before arrival.

Green spaces and gastro pubs

Set between Brixton and Battersea, Clapham is a lovely neighborhood just 20 minutes by public transport from the West End, with green spaces, gastro pubs and plenty of local families. Clapham Common is a great place to play, walk dogs and have a picnic in the summer; Battersea Power Station nearby hosts family-friendly events, and it’s just a short bus ride to Battersea Park for its zoo, playground, running tracks and boating pond. Brockwell Lido, nearby is great for a dip in the summer.
