Kids of all ages love the game room with chalkboard and games table, converted stone stable house with a pool table, and 3 acres of gardens to roam. They include a putting green, ample space for pitch and putt challenges, a tyre swing, and a wooden swing set for good, old-fashioned fun. The small private river is gated and a great spot for paddling, making boats and watching the wildlife together. Books, DVDs and board games are included for indoor entertainment (please put the activities back as you find them, ready for the next guests). A travel crib is provided.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 2 days except over peak holiday periods where the minimum is 5 nights. Hosts would consider shorter stays at peak times for an additional fee. Contact host before booking for accurate pricing. The residence includes an easy carpeted staircase with a small landing after about 8 steps before another 5 steps, but stair gates are not included. The property’s private river is fenced for safety but children should be supervised around the water. A travel crib is provided, and babysitting services are available upon request. Washer/dryer, WiFi and DVDs included. The property is pet-friendly. The hosts use the house for their own vacations, so they request that you take care of their home and leave the space clean and tidy.

Country chic. The whitewashed exterior, stone fence and 3 acres of lush, green grounds are the stars of this property. The interior is warm and inviting with a brick and iron fireplace, deep window seats and snug sitting room with music system. The characterful kitchen is designed with exposed stone and wooden beams and includes an AGA cooker and NEFF double oven, with charming views of the country lane and herb garden. Bedrooms are fitted with crisp Egyptian cotton sheets. We love the picturesque summer house, tartan cushions and the owner’s collections on display.
Co. Wexford, Ireland
Ireland's sunny spot
Set on the lovely south-east coast two hours south of Dublin, County Wexford is Ireland’s sunny spot, with more hours of sunshine per day than anywhere else in the country. Made up of low-lying hills, stunning beaches, rivers and pretty waterfront villages with Viking history, it’s a great spot for a family break offering both outdoors adventures and culture plus a good dollop of laid-back Irish charm. Let the kids loose in surf school, hike hills and explore Enniscorthy Castle and Hook lighthouse, the oldest operational lighthouse in the world.
