Perks for the Parents
A boutique wellness resort in the beautiful Comporta region of Portugal, with family villas, on-site spa and the beach in easy reach. The largest room sleeps 6 + 2. Parents will love the sustainable credentials of this hotel, which celebrates the natural and authentic surroundings. You can relax with a trip to the hotel spa, enjoy the hammam and sauna, or spend your days swimming in the indoor/outdoor pools. For parents who like to work out, there’s an indoor gym, yoga classes on site and bikes available to rent.
Why Kids Love it
Rent one of the pool villas for your own private plunge pool, where kids can splash all day long. Villas and townhouses have kitchens for easy all-day snacks, and the restaurant has a kids menu. Older kids and teens will love cycling to the beach, where there are miles of sandy shores to explore (or go horseback riding!). The whole family will enjoy a dolphin tour or boat ride along the coast, and you can ask the hotel about hiring kayaks to paddle through the area’s rice field rivers. The hotel runs a children’s programme in July and August, and can organize babysitting from €15 an hour.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 1 night/7 nights in peak season. Rates usually include breakfast. Rates are reflective of the season and start at 247€ to 547€ for a Deluxe Room up to 945€ to 2066€ for the Pool Villa. A tourist tax may be due on arrival, payable directly to the hotel, per person per night. The hotel uses over 600m2 of solar panels to create sustainable electricity and allow the natural heating of the 40m infinity pool and 20m spa pool. The hotel has bikes and electrical buggies only inside the resort to cut back on toxic exhausts. Local mosquitos are controlled with cutting edge methods to preserve their ecosystem and the area’s natural beauty.

Style Notes
Calm and serene. The resort embraces the fundamental pillars of sustainability, aiming to utilize pre-existing structures and materials throughout the property for lower impact on the environment. Each room is blessed with breathtaking views and decorated with natural materials, reflecting the beautiful rural surroundings. A neutral color palette is finished with traditional materials such as wood, wicker, glass and stone, and the designers have used motifs created by local artisans. We love the wicker wall hangings in the townhouses, the rustic exposed wooden ceilings and the stunning open fireplace in the restaurant. In the wild and unspoilt Alentejo area of Portugal, 120km south of Lisbon, it attracts artists, a-listers and surfers to its emerald sea and endless sands. Play in the ocean, build sandcastles and eat fresh fish from roadside stalls as part of a glamorous, relaxing stay in this unspoilt hideaway.
