Why Kids Love it

Staying at Villa Mare near Ile Rousse means no more being buckled in the back seat of a rental car all day, subjecting the rest of your family to choruses of "are we there yet" as you travel from spot to spot. Instead, take a 5-minute stroll to the local Ile Rousse beach or a longer but still leisurely 25-minute walk to Marine di Davia train station and board the “u trinichellu“. This is Corsica's famous narrow-gauge train which takes you along the coastline and into the mountains. The heated swimming pool means you can even vacation here off-season without compromising on amenities There's a pool barrier with a child-security gate to keep your little ones safe.

Things to Know

The minimum stay is 7 nights. The villa is air-conditioned throughout and the pool is heated during the cooler shoulder seasons - you can request it be heated at other times for a weekly fee. There's a laundry room plus a fully kitted out kitchen complete with a stovetop, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. All bedrooms have access to the outdoors via terrace or balcony. Check-in time is at 3pm and check-out at 9am. Car hire, child seats and booster seats are available for an additional charge on request.

About the Location

The property is located in an exclusive residential area walkable to Ile Rousse which has 3 beaches to explore during your stay. Kids will love visiting the daily morning market where friendly vendors will encourage you to try local specialties. Calvi airport is a 25-minute drive from the property and Bastia airport is a 75-minute drive.

Accommodation Details

This 4-bedroom villa sleeps a maximum of 8 guests. Every single room boasts an en-suite bathroom which means the luxury of not having to share. The ground floor opens immediately into the open plan living / dining / kitchen area. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor (one twin room and one double room) plus laundry facilities. Upstairs you'll find two more double bedrooms, both with their own balcony. The roof terrace can be accessed at the top of the stairs for your picturesque sea views.

Style Notes

Contemporary coastal. The neutral, modern palette is accented by pops of color found on cushions and bedding. We love the villa's proximity to town, the heated swimming pool, and the breezy simplicity of the style.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
If cancelled 61-300 days before arrival, 30% of the total booking amount will be retained as a cancellation fee. If cancelled 0 – 60 days before arrival, 100% charge of the total booking amount will be retained. In addition to the host’s policy which is listed here, all cancellations are subject to a Kid & Coe cancellation fee of 15% of the booking total.
