Why Kids Love it
The infinity pool is on 2 levels with a 1 ft deep shallow level that’s great fun for little kids who aren't particularly comfortable in deeper waters. The house is equipped with a pool table and table football. The media room includes a TV with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, plus a PS4 console. The nearby Prieta Beach Club has an Adventure Kids’ Club with CPR-certified teachers and nannies. Daily kids’ classes include paddle boarding, surfing, yoga, chocolate-making, and much more. For family days out there are canopy tours and horseback riding a 20-minute drive away. About a 40-minute drive away you’ll find volcanoes, national parks and white-water rafting.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 3 to 7 nights, depending on the season. Weekly rates include: 2 half days on the Coastal Air Nautique and 1 half day on the 40' Barker Motor Catamaran. Stays of 5/6 nights include: 1 half day on the Coastal Air Nautique and 1 half day on the Barker Motor Catamaran. All stays include: pre-arrival and on-site concierge services, daily housekeeping and laundry, an in-house chef and customized menu, a butler, food/beverage stocking prior to arrival, 2 airport transfers, 2 golf carts (1 electric, 1 gas), golf and fishing equipment, plus equipment for surfing, diving, wakeboarding and tubing. A masseuse can be arranged for an in-house appointment for a fee. It is based on occupancy from 2 to 10 people and time of year from $3250-$8500. There are additional charges for golf, restaurant meals, and there is a $250/night fee per 2 guests past 10 up to 14. The villa is safe and secure with live-in staff and security. The gates to the Peninsula Papagayo development have security as well. Please note that the pool is unfenced so children who are non-swimmers will need close supervision. There are no internal stairs, which is great for little kids. Air conditioning is throughout with a Nest-controlled thermostat.
About the Location
The villa is located in a luxury development of the private 1,400-acre Peninsula Papagayo on Costa Rica's Gold Coast, famous for its pristine beaches and abundance of wildlife. The Prieta Beach Club and the Four Seasons Resort with dining and a spa are both a 5-minute drive away. Facilities at include the 18-hole, par-72 Arnold Palmer Signature golf course, tennis, single-track mountain biking, surfing, fishing and a beautiful marina. Get here by flying direct from the States, Canada or London to Liberia International Airport. A transfer to the villa takes approximately 45 minutes. The concierge service will arrange activities for you prior to your arrival and throughout your stay.
Accommodation Details
The villa has 5-bedrooms and 6 bathrooms on 1 level. All bedrooms are kingsize and 2 have bathtubs while 1 has an outdoor shower. The huge open plan living area has floor to ceiling windows and doors that open to the outside terrace with sea views and a lounge area as well as a fully equipped kitchen with an island. There is ample seating for meals with a table in the kitchen that seats 10 or more, one right behind that that also seats at least 10 and one by the pool seating 12 or more. There is a separate lounge and a media room has a TV, sofas, pool table and table football. Outside is covered terrace with seating, an infinity pool and a hot tub, a grill and a deck with sun loungers.
Style Notes
Luxury, all-inclusive coastal retreat. This exclusive villa has space inside and out with an open plan, great room featuring a 27-foot ceiling and lots of floor space for kids to play. Views at every turn are of the pool, lush garden and the blue ocean. The décor is a mix of textures with teak furniture with walls and floors of local sandstone and marble. Bedrooms are opulent with high quality linens and stunning contemporary bathrooms. The property has all the convenience and luxury of a hotel but the privacy and quiet of a luxury villa. We love the pool area with its uninterrupted views, the world-class facilities on the doorstep and the many activities available to keep the kids happy.
