This spectacular home offers unbeatable views of La Saulire and the surrounding peaks - gather the family together on the benches outside to soak up the view after a day skiing the very same peaks. After an exhilarating day on the slopes, parents will love returning to the basement spa, where you can soak tired muscles in the indoor pool or give them some heat treatment in the sauna.

Why Kids Love it

There are 2 bedrooms ideal for kids - one of which has cozy built-in bunk beds that are perfect for siblings, cousins or friends to share. They’ll also love having their own pool downstairs! For days you don’t want to ski, kids will be kept busy with a range of other activities nearby, including indoor ice-skating, sledging, luge tobogganing, dog sledding, pony rides in the snow or wall climbing. Take a trip to Aquamotion (10 minutes’ drive) where there are indoor and outdoor pools, water slides, rapids, a diving pool and surfing with waves.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. Check in: 4pm. Check out: 10am. Rates range from 22KEUR to 60KEUR per week depending on the time of year. Housekeeping is included: daily cleaning including snow removal and fireplace clearing. Flowers and champagne are provided upon arrival. The concierge team who looks after this property can arrange Christmas or New Year’s decorations on request, grocery shopping and breakfast service (for an additional fee). Luxury L’Occitane toiletries, bath robes and slippers are provided. No smoking permitted. The property comes with heated boot dryers, an open fire, sound system, satellite TV, Apple TV, indoor pool and sauna. Outdoor parking is also available.

About the Location

Courchevel 1850 is undeniably one of the most glamorous ski resorts in the world. Visitors can enjoy wonderful boutiques, Michelin-starred restaurants and a casino close to home and world-class apres ski offerings. Courcheval 1850 is the location of the main lift hub and has 600km of pistes and 162 lifts with terrain to suit both beginners and experts. It’s 30 minutes from Moutiers Train Station where the Eurostar and TGV service arrives direct during the ski season. From airports, car transfers take 2.5 hours from Geneva Airport, 1 hour from Chambrey Airport and just over 2 hours from Lyon Saint-Exupery Airport. Alternately, arrive by a special aircraft to the Altiport in Courchevel, which is 10 minutes away by car. It’s 1.5km from the Courcheval Visitor Center (where the ski lifts start) and 15 minutes by car into downtown Courcheval.

Accommodation Details

The chalet has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, set over 3 floors. Basement level: a double bedroom with ensuite shower room, plus a family bunk room with 4 single beds and an ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub. Two of the twin beds can be joined to form a double. Ground floor: the primary suite boasts a kingsize bed, flatscreen TV and access to a private terrace with beautiful views over La Saulire. The ensuite bathroom has a jacuzzi bath, double basin and separate shower. There are also 2 more guest rooms on this floor: a double room with an ensuite shower room, plus a twin room (which can be joined to make a double) with an ensuite shower room. In the main living area, a wide expanse of sofa seating affords everyone the chance to relax in front of the blazing wood fire, while the mezzanine level offers a quieter space in which to relax tucked under the wooden rafters.

Style Notes

Cozy chalet. This classic alpine home has a fairy-tale feel in the main living areas, with heavy rustic timbers and wood paneling throughout to create that perfect woodland cabin style. Bright soft furnishings keep things fresh and light. The traditional timbers and exposed stone textures continue through to the bedrooms, which have a serene and homely ambiance. We love the charming seating area in the primary bedroom, which showcases the work of international designers, the traditional antler light fixture and the cute heart-shaped carvings in the woodwork.
