Style Notes

Modern Greek. This well decorated pair of houses has wonderful views across the sea to the small island of Lazaretta, and has terraces dotted with flowering plants. The traditional main building, just 10m from the beach, is one of the oldest in the area and has been carefully renovated to preserve its character. Both houses are furnished and decorated with style and good taste. Interiors are large, light and spacious with furnishings displaying a mix of traditional Greek and modern facilities. The lovely sitting room has a large bay window seat to take advantage of the sandy beach and sea view. Thick stone walls provide an authentic backdrop whilst keeping the house cool during the warm summer months. We love the beachfront terrace, the pretty bedrooms and the set up, ideal for travel with grandparents and extended family.

I come from Chania. I was study civil engineer in Thessaloniki. I live with my family in Chania. This lovely country house, is the first house, built in this lovely area . It is built just 10 m from the sandy beach of Chrissi Akti. Repairs to the house were made with absolute respect to the architecture of the period of its construction. It is a house that I adore just see it, full of memories from childhood ... Chrissi Akti is an area for family holidays, near Chania, in walking distance from super markets, restaurants & shops.Car rental will be not necessary. Bus station /taxis are nearby For those loving the mountains there is only 15 klm to the wonderful mountain area, villages waiting to be explored, offering beautiful views and good old fashion traditional Cretan food. The surroundings offer all someone could wish, from lovely beaches to amazing mountains, from modern beach life to old historical places, all reachable in not more than 20 minutes. Located very close to Chania with easy access on foot 30 min, by bus 10 min, taxi and car 7 min. It is perfect for two friendly families.... Here are encountered parents with children and grandchildren, grandparents from various parts of the world, what more pleasant on vacation?

Crete, Greek Islands

Ruins, rocky outcrops and rural charm

Off the southern coast of mainland Greece, beautiful Crete is the largest of the islands, packed with rural charm, archeological sites and fabulous mountains - a land where shepherds still tend their flocks wearing traditional dress. Blow the kids’ minds at the enormous Samariá Gorge, tantalize them with tales of ancient civilization, and check out the cave where Zeus was said to have been born.
