Style Notes

Authentic, stylish Cretan sanctuary. The 16th century architecture meant that restoration of this ancient residence was under close supervision of Crete’s Archeological Department. The bare stone walls and stone archways hint at its historic past, while the modern and comfortable interior provide a relaxing vacation. All bedrooms have high quality bedding and linens with windows that open out onto the garden and lemon trees. The upper floor bedrooms have old stone nooks converted into modern stylish wardrobes. We love the outdoor space with its many lounging areas and lush fruit trees, the shaded outdoor dining table and the central location where you can walk to all attractions.

I was born in Montreal, Canada into a multi-cultural expat family of world travellers. My love for the hospitality industry earned me a degree from a Hotel Management School in Switzerland. In 2015, my husband and I finally found our slice of paradise on earth and settled down on the island of Crete. We both enjoy long nature walks with our dogs, swimming on the many secluded Cretan beaches and above all, sharing our knowledge and our love of this beautiful island with our family and friends. We both look forward to welcoming and hosting families from Kidandcoe in our unique sunny haven!

Crete, Greek Islands

Ruins, rocky outcrops and rural charm

Off the southern coast of mainland Greece, beautiful Crete is the largest of the islands, packed with rural charm, archeological sites and fabulous mountains - a land where shepherds still tend their flocks wearing traditional dress. Blow the kids’ minds at the enormous Samariá Gorge, tantalize them with tales of ancient civilization, and check out the cave where Zeus was said to have been born.
