They’ll love the home cinema in the barn loft with a deep comfy sofa that should fit everyone. All the kids will enjoy swimming and splashing in the private, heated pool which has a glass fence and a gate so that parents with small children can relax. Style Notes

Effortless French chic. This is a 19th century manor house fully equipped with 21st century luxuries and convenience – you’ll find it very hard to leave. With exposed stone walls, oak beams and original flooring, Manoir du Jasmin has retained its historic charm while providing visitors with understated luxury – high quality bedding, elegant beds, soft pastels and deep bath tubs in the soft white bathrooms. The living spaces are large enough for everyone to socialize together and the pool is surrounded by limestone and set in Mediterranean gardens. We love the fruit trees and vegetable garden where you can help yourself to aubergines, chillies, or whatever is growing, the countryside setting and the magnificent barn – fun for kids and big kids alike.

Dordogne, Southwest France

The green heart of France

The rural farming heart of France is a fantastic destination for a family getaway, amid fields of sunflowers and pretty market towns. The Dordogne river itself is good for canoeing and swimming, and there are castles and chateaux to explore, caves painted with prehistoric images and, this being France, sensational food.
